Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
Even with the flaws in this game I'd be willing to bet money they would sale more copies if they would just include editing options rather than rely on Synergy for another waisted year.
I felt this way about Live 15 that the game could be markedly improved with editing options available to the consumerNCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
It does suck that Live is losing customers by this news and I am one of them, but of all sports games NBA Live is the last game that can afford to leave out features, with all the apologies and canceled games in the past you would think by now they would know how to meet casual and hardcore fans halfway.
Still seems they have a one step forward two steps back mentality.Last edited by cthurt; 08-14-2015, 07:33 PM.Comment

So you honestly think that advertising this game with "NOW WITH ROSTER EDITING!" Instead of pro-am would have given it more sales? Really?
I'm as hardcore into basketball as they come, and I think that's ridiculous.
I've put like 500 hours into the competition, and do you know how many hours I've spent editing rosters? Maybe 5.

They have known this for the past few years how important editing is in all sports games not just Live.
When you go to any roster section for any basketball game on these forums you don't see people talking about MY player or Pro Am edits for SIM gameplay....
If you don't like editing rosters that is cool but IMO there's a great deal of people here who could give 2 cents about putting their face in the game or creating themselves....
There should be options to customize the game to our liking and that has nothing to do with MARKETING and everything to do with not selling the CONSUMER short.
I find it funny that you can create your guy and rate your guy and there's mention of it breaking anything or hurting Synergy.....
Yet you make one change to the actual NBA players and all hell will break loose with Synergy according to EA...
I understand guys will support them but lets not undervalue the IMPORTANCE of roster editing to this community just because they added some feature that allows you put yourself in the game.
There's a reason why this forum goes completely dead after 2-3 months of playing Live and I can assure you not having the ability to edit rosters is right up at the top of the list......while the competitor game forum stays active 365 days a year right up to release of the next version.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
PM, with all due respect, OS is just drop in the bucket of the basketball videogame market. Unfortunately, analytics tell publishers what the masses want. This forum isn't the end all, be all. I wish it were, but unfortunately it's not.
I'd go as far to say that some of the devs want this more than some users even, but they're tied to what the Games direction is.
You all can debate the decision all you want, and feel that you're correct, I thought the same way. But analytics of the masses say what to focus on.
And even though everyone thinks it's as simple as adding a few menu buttons... that couldn't be further from the truth. Sure, editing is on other titles. The code has been in place for those. For this title, it isnt.
I want editing, but the assumptions that they aren't listening is assanine. Once the game is in your hands (for free), you'll see that they listened to a ton of gameplay feedback. This is just a little tougher than adding a few menus.Twitter - WTF_OS

I agree 100%. No excuses for this. And for Live this would actually prolong their life and playability. Obviously they have not committed to being great now, but down the road. Therefore we get milked and have a reason to be excited about a staple feature in all other games( minus EA) to be added later. They have too much confidence in their ability and choice. I may want to use an existing player's model for my player, change his name, number etc, especially since they don't give all they hair options. But out of GP, as a consumer it should be available if I like it or not. I shouldn't have to say I" I wish it was there".Comment

And the response : you can swag yourself out" is real next topic. Those are two separate feature's. How can you tell me to add clothing to a player, when I'm asking can I change his height and shooting style? LOLSMHComment
