Graphics are sharp no doubt but damnit, that unrealistic straight to point guard tip off is still present! I also wonder if we'll see the likes of Lebron operate as a point guard/forward and bring the ball up court on occasion. Also eager to see the end game logic in action this year. These aspects of the game cannot be glossed over if this game is truly striving to represent the real thing.

That footage was beyond disappointing. The Live Pro AM better be successful with buyers or it looks bad for EA once again. Those player models look good when you view from a screenshot, but it's another story when we actually see them moving in a gameplay sequence. The game still has an generic feel to it.

So they have such an emotional and energetic intro of Westbrook and then this? That tip - it's like the ball goes up and then straight into the hands of a PG- like a balloon on a string. Unrealistic. Oh and that purposeful cut just before the gameplay starts - easy EA, it's not like you're going to revolutionize the way the game moves/animates.

I love Mike Breen and JVG.........but they are absolutely terrible in this game, and sounds from that vid that they are just as bad this year again. They sound like are reading a script.

Wish, as you said, they just commentated like it was a real game.

              Very poor.

I always wonder what stops commentary in sports game from being as good as it could be

                time restraints?
are they not being fed the right lines to say?
maybe it takes a couple of consistent years together to build up?

As a live fanboy/apologist I am really starting to worry. The demo is out in a few weeks and all they have shown really is proam. What if it's a miss? What do they have to fallback on? Dynasty mode should have gotten more attention than proam imo.

All 3. There's no way to give pre-recorded commentary the type of improvisational possibilities in the time they have with the talent. It's usually a couple of days, tops.

I wish all sports games would just use voice actors, ala the old 2K games. They're cheaper so you can have them for longer, and they can build characters and personalities of their own.

Was just saying this....even going back and playing those today it's amazing how much pure dialogue was recorded

I honestly can't tell from what's there when in the process this was captured. Our setups required having headphones on to listen to things like commentary, and we were talking so much that it just didn't make sense to have them on, especially with devs walking in and out.

My hope is that we get the go-ahead to talk some gameplay in advance of the demo's release. Madden's launch obviously takes up a lot of bandwidth for PR approvals, so as that dies down I should get a yay or nay on that.

They went after the target of the highest played mode target audience. They are banking on more people buying the game strictly off of Proam and create a player mode more than dynasty.

Better pray proam is legit or this could be the end. I won't be playing it myself because I'm against anything ultimate team or dynasty.
