Yeah I think they should sell it at $30 bucks tbh. Because 2k has ridiculous depth in every mode, huge improvements to gameplay from the blogs from Og, Czar, and Mike wang, and of course top notch graphics. Live has just as good if not better graphics, and one mode, maybe two counting Lut, that are deep. It has no roster customization and Dynasty/ Rosing star are sounding like they'll be the same. Hard to justify it costing the same as 2k with so much less features

They had all that down time before releasing a new game...



IMO they had a head start over the competition by not putting out a game for like two years



During that down time i guess it never crossed their minds that maybe they should have had simple things prepared to be included with the game right out of the gates like Sliders and Player Editing



But hey i get it since they didn't have that vision right away we should be patient and accept their product taking baby steps year after year

They actually didn't have any down time. Elite 11 was scrapped, they took of 2012, then 13 was scrapped. So they had one year to build the game(off of what was 13 I guess, which must have been horrible since it wasn't released) and it was on the new systems. They had a whole new dev team. Not an excuse but I think we should look at it from the standpoint that it was a 1 year cycle instead of saying they had a bunch of time. They're in year 3, lets see where they are a year or two from now. All we can do is support it/ help improve so we as gamers get the best game possible

It would be stupid for a company to sell itself short like that...They have faith in their product and should sell it for what they think it is worth.

Just because 2K has more content, depth, appeal, sexy graphics, superior foot planting, x's and o's, revamped defense, more modes, more signatures, new gameplay, classic teams and etc...doesn't change the fact that I'm dropping another $60 dollars plus TAX on NBA LIVE 16. I love them both equally. (I'm lying) I may show more favoritism towards NBA Live, but that's because I have been with them since 95'. (Bulls vs. Lakers if you want to be technical, at age 7 and played on the Sega Genesis) NBA 2k has done right by me since the early 2000's so I can't turn my back on them either, especially since they helped me through the 3 year absence of NBA Live. You can tell the 2K team cares about basketball. With that said, I'm getting both and I hope NBA LIVE 16 stays at $60 dollars.

You Killin me with those details about the other side/gam .. I agree overall though. I expect very good progress this year from both and they need each other in order to push the envelope so that we the consumers can bask in all this glory!!

At first I thought this wouldn't be such a bad idea -- Live is in desperate needs of getting in as many hands as possible, much like 2K was with NFL2K5 when they dropped the opening price to $20.

But as Vic said, they believe in their product, and apparently they have reason to believe, based off very early community impressions of the gameplay and of the great graphics we've seen. Even moreso, the early demo is very generous, and not quite so common these days.

If I feel the gameplay is barely improved over Live 15 in the demo on the 15th, I'mma wait til Black Friday to cop this at a discounted price. I got EA Access too, so I'll give this game a fair shake but I'm really not feeling how the information is being presented in the month of September, the same month the game is supposed to be released.

I don't care that we getting a demo on the 15th, it's time for them to start going in depth about the gameplay improvements in this game over Live 15. The 'just play the demo' angle is not enough to me right now when EA has shown for the last 5 years that they don't have a great reputation in the video game basketball department.

If the demo is coming out soon im sorry I wouldve been spewing out all types of new content/gameplay vids about the game if I was Ea. Keep folks interested..heck this isnt Madden can't rely on the name and a demo "alone". They should have BEEN released the chain off of WTF and mprice....keep the boards hype and social media buzzing...

The only real gameplay released was at E3 and that was an old build so besides that and a kobe clip that was recorded with an etch a sketch thats still all folks have to go by honestly. And playing the demo is cool but doesnt guarantee a sale...you know how many demos on last gen I played over and over but didnt buy the game? Countless!! Playing the demo was enough for me it was free....why spend the cash on the real game when I have this for free. There are people that think like this.I've seen it..

I'll agree on that front. If they say that video is coming a particular time, then it needs to be there. I wish I were able to cut loose and talk about the game. I'll try to check and see when we're allowed to talk about it (Gameplay, not ProAm) because there actually is plenty to talk about.

Where'd they mention video coming this week anyway? I thought I saw it somewhere, but don't remember where now.

But back to your post, I'll agree that the hype has died down, and they do need to show some love to the guys who are in line waiting for info. I've got a Bachelor's in Sales & Marketing and in Criminal Justice, and it's a Crime to the game to not market it

I'm hopeful we'll get to talk about it soon though. Gameplay needs to be shown/discussed. Once we get the go ahead, I'll give the details.

That's right, the Stream Team interview. I was watching it Live, so I couldn't remember where it was. Good call.

Hopefully soon is all I can say,although I know that doesn't help. I'm sure there's going to be a flood of videos as soon as the demo drops, so regardless, there will be 2 weeks of video before the actual retail version drops. So that's a positive, but also doesn't help the want for info now.
