Re: 13 days until the demo drops...
I always wondered if that HoopGawd guy was responsible for that written blog at that time. Cause still to this day I don't understand why EA promotes that guy along side NBA LIVE like he's one of the game developers? Is this dude a YouTube sensation or something? Who the hell is this guy?
The fact the ya'll are wondering if he's apart of gameplay etc shows me that he will probably be the same scapegoat that LD and Ronnie are, lmao.Comment

Re: 13 days until the demo drops...
Any hype EA had going from the Pro-Am announcement going forward has died. No new information other than a soundtrack which is cool but I doubt even a 1% of the overall fan base gives a **** about. Marketing has been a sad point in Live this generation. I remember Live 10 when Marcus, Mike, and a couple of other developers were giving weekly in depth gameplay blogs, videos, breakdowns, and trailers. They even engaged in community discussions about changes to the game with content updates. Stuff like that goes a long way and gets turned into brand loyalty.
Look I understand it's very very difficult for developers to engage with community members, I make games as well and I know how damn frustrating communication with fans and people are. You get your game thrown in the dirt and back for any damn reason a user has a issue with. But none the less, engaging and making sure fans are happy is a big thing in video games, every game company has to please their fan base, and I would say Live is not really meeting that expectation. I have to give some of the Live developers credit for sticking their necks in here and social media when they knew they would be criticized by the majority.
Marketing has their reasons for the quiet info period and I expect things to pick up next week, but in general it would be nice to see more videos, in depth blogs like 2K, information about new technologies used to make the game, and so on. That would make the community a lot better.Comment

Re: 13 days until the demo drops...
Actually it is not we just had OG on the forum talking about the other game. Since Elite the communication from EA disappeared. OS use to be a safe place were developers would come to share info and get feed back. Those who have played they game here and youtube are not allowed to talk about it.Comment

Re: 13 days until the demo drops...
I would disagree. I wasn't specifically talking about OS but social media in general. Let's not forget that EA isn't the most popular company and people like to continually bash the game regardless of merit. Take for insistence, the roster editing thread, there was a huge uproar and rightly so for the most part. Most people were extremely disappointed and many said they weren't going to purchase the game at all. How would you respond? Let's say that priorities dictated that game play and Pro-Am were the main focus and roster editing/player editing was something that would have to be put on hold for those. They have already loss the battle, users will either blame their talent as a developer or their thought process as a basketball gaming fan. There is no win-win in that case, and for that reason I wouldn't be surprised to see developers not interact or respond to that thread. Now I'm not saying that developers don't deserve criticism because they do, I'm saying that many people try to disguise or take advantage of their right to criticize as a way to openly bash a developer. But I will say that OS does try their best to help developers and shield some of those unwanted users like you said. Lets get back on topic, 10 more days until we get hands on with the game.
I see what you are saying ,but its gonna come with the territory.....While I feel it is a priviledge and not a right to even be able to communicate with a dev...If you are gonna be active with the community be there for the GOOD and the BAD...Don't be all buddy buddy when the game is riding high but when legitimate concerns pop up you go ghost....If there are trolls ignore em thats what mods are for to keep it respectful yet real as well.....
One thing I can say about the other guys they don't stop communicating be it good or bad. I dont know if you've noticed the other forum can be RUTHLESS, but those guys never leave and by doing that it gives the impression that they love the community, their jobs, and most importantly their product....not saying live doesn't( i know they work hard over there as well ....heck trying to erase the mess elite was and build from it shows that )..I just wish they had a better approach...Last edited by swac07; 09-06-2015, 12:20 PM."Wisdom is ALWAYS an overmatch for strength"........The Zen MasterComment

Re: 13 days until the demo drops...
Quick question, ever since the first trailer dropped, I've been paying close attention to the release. lurking in these threads as of late, and so on. Then I came across this dude FLIGHT on YouTube. He is Trolling right? He isn't serious? Can't be.
