Synergy Tendencies & NBA Live Ratings- How does it work?
As Synergy Controls all Tendencies for NBA Live, it got me to thinking about how the Ratings work with those Tendencies.
Has anyone found any info about Which Ratings go with which Tendencies? Thanks in advance for any insight.NBA 2k18 Roster:

How that translates to ratings is up to Ericka as to what she sets her benchmark of what a 99 rating is per category based on the scouting reports and goes from there.Last edited by iFnotWhyNoT; 09-08-2015, 07:31 PM.Comment

Besides tendencies it also gives them stats. And they had an automated system of using the weekly statistical changes in players stats to increase or decrease ratings. Since it was automated, EVERY single player who played during the week got updated, which was nice. Besides that it give tendencies to pull up vs drive all the way, which shoulder players turn over in the post, drive right vs left, and the percentages of different play types they are involved in like cuts, pick and roll ball handler, pick and roll screener, off ball screens,put backs, handoffs ect. Unfortunately every player played the same last year, so it didn't really affect anything besides if you make or miss a shot, or dunk instead of lay it up

I save all this information they speak about every year in Live and then I look specifically at the game once it's released to see if EA is getting it done or just hyping it up every year......
Read this article and tell me did you feel Synergy was working last year based on every thing they said it was suppose to do
It's been how many years now that Synergy was added?
They haven't shown us any DATA proof based on NBA Live Gameplay that Synergy is reflected into player tendencies we see on the floor.
Also in late game situations ask yourself are you 100% sure that Synergy is the driving force behind the CPU AI execution
Do they know who to get the ball to in the clutch?
Do they even recognize time and score?
Do they know when to actually foul and take a timeout?

Looks like we are all confused on Why at Synergy Really does in the game. Maybe Synergy Updates Ratings then Ericka makes tweaks to fit her system. Maybe we will get some more INFO on this for NBA Live 16.NBA 2k18 Roster:

This is 110% speculation but I THINK the ratings here are there for day 1 ratings or for games that are not connected to the internet. Otherwise Synergy drives a lot of this stuff, especially shooting %s.Comment

Yall really think Live is going to go into details of how their system works when the tendencies are all in a black box of code?
The way it should work is first simple stuff:
Shot frequency by play type touches
Pick and roll ball handler, pick and pop roller, pick and roll screener, Iso, Cutters, post ups and transition. That is mainly a touches thing.
Then the details comes from what type of shot is taken and success of those shots in %, further details are what direction players are driving what type of signature moves are used.
They more than likely spit all this out into a database and load into the game with some filtering rules because looking at some short data can skew things way off.Comment
