I'm seeing a trend with EA and it's sports titles for years. The games are just arcade and have a robotic feel to them. It is way way too easy to shoot on this game, especially from deep. And on the flip side, layups are missed for no apparent reason. Also, why does EA feel the need to assist people at everything? The little red bar in front of the ball handler while being defended? Really? Let people learn how to play ball. Learn how to get open on their own without needing assistance with everything.

And then why is it taking over 9 hours to download and install a Demo? This is ridiculous.

OK - after more play time with this game my 2nd impression....

- Meh. I don't want to piss on the game because it is clear that the dev team cares and put alot of effort into making a better game. It shows. It really does. It's a decent game of basketball. It's just when I play this game it feels like NBA Live 11 - or what that game should have been had they not switched directions. NBA LIve 10 is still thee pinacle of the series for me gampelay wise. There is just more work to do to catch up. But God Bless that dev team for making the effort.

-My Lord. I am not an online player [I'm old school] but I can NOT - I just can NOT stop playing ProAm. I never realized how much i HATED MyPark until just now. Not because of the gameplay or the knuckleheads i play with - but because of having to wait to play. I can turn on this game and within 2 minutes [at most] literally I am playing a game. And the games go by so quickly. So even if I am stuck with the And 1 jabronis who never pass the ball or some insufferable lag which makes the game choppy - the game is so quick it doesn't take away from the experience. BRAVO EA!!! BRAVO!!! I have played 35+ games in the day and a half I have had this demo. I haven't played that many games COMBINED of MyPark in the last 2 years.
You WON EA. I will buy this game (along with 2K:wink: )

Good to hear that from you. I'll tell ya, I got a friend on another game site and he's been anti live probably since 07. He messaged me today and said he absolutely loves this game. Not so much the main game, but the Pro AM he's hooked and said he might buy it for that reason! Seems like that might be the saving grace for this game for people who are on the fence.

The main issue I have with the game are the controls, it's just not responsive. The animations, graphics, details etc is great. Just moving around your guys feels delayed and you're moving through jelly.

Please fix the speed of passes when using icon passing too many times i see bullet passes that do not look natural. esp passes into the paint...

ADD A GAME SPEED SLIDER! Thats me praying

ADD Player equip editing! thats me praying

Tweak the way arms react to balls being passed to the player or the way first dribble is handled too many times im seeing unnatural arm extensions in these cases

FIX neck widths too may players look like they have muscular necks that overpower their shoulders...

Other than that roll on release day!

After playing the game, I'm satisfied. The gameplay got a lot better from 15, but it still needs some work. I know the demo is pre-patch so the clunkiness and all other nonsense is ok. However, this game is exciting and I can not believe how difficult it has gotten.

The only thing I do request is that the rebounding is more responsive and fluid. Gameplay overall feels fine. For those having issues with gameplay, play with the sliders to make it better for you. Trust me it's awesome. I can't wait to buy both basketball games. Everybody is trashing Live and 2K, but they really don't realize we win as consumers.

Whats your rating for rebounding? haha i like the fact that it plays true to your ratings. my buddy has a 6'11 center and he put all of his attributes to shot block/postmoves/dunks and it shows, but my god he cant get a board to save his life as you would expect.. he gets more than me because he prob starts off at a higher starting point, but he gets out muscled against better rebounders. THe most i got in a game in pro am was maybe 3.... prob average .8 a game and ive played like 40 games and i havent touched any rebounding yet. Make sure to box out with LT.

Man same here, i don't think positioning matters as much as ratings. My guy turns to quicksand on the jump even though im an athletic slasher and a big just grabs it no problem even way out of position.

Rebounding in Pro Am is literally just by chance. I wish I could say differently. I just have accepted it and hope they can patch it.

I do agree they need to add game sliders just because I think the game speed needs a little bump up. The game is good to go tho! I like it.

Guys if you're having trouble with controls, go to tutorials. I feel like a lot of people who are trying to play the game good ignore the tutorials.

39.99 for the game and EA Sports is back in the b-ball businesss..Simple as that..i liked the demo alot..the presentation is amazing..
