First I want to say that I LOVE pro am and am addicted. HOWEVER, this thread sums up how unbelievably frustrating it can also be. It also shows the stupidity of humanity as a whole.
Probably more games then not at least one user will spam the pass button the instant a cpu teamate touches the ball leading to countless turnovers and missed easy scoring opportunities on open shots and layups. I love making a nice penetration or post move, drawing the D, making the right reed for a wide open layup for the cpu just to see some douche spam the x button in the middle of the layup animation and have it passed back out. Then get to watch same douche dribble back and forth on 2 defenders while taking a contested shot. These types will go like 4-15 but those couple buckets are enough to reinforce that idiotic behavior i guess.
For me though, when you play with a couple good players and willing passers there is no better virtual basketball experience.

Yeah. The ball hogging is terrible, usually when I am playing with a team of CPU I get a teammate score of 85 minimum. I'm a strong, but I play more like a pure point. I'll drive on an open lane and take open shot, but I'm a look to pass first player.

I was playing one game and every time I'd pass it to an open man and for pace them to shoot the one human player would call for the ball and the cpu would pass the ball mid shot. Ended up losing after I passed it to a wide open cpu for a layup and the user called and forced a three.

I am starting to get pissed, looking for a squad that wants to play actuall basketball and not HERO ball. Much more enjoyable.

Lol some people just don't know basketball. It's no reason why you should get the ball from a CPU when they can easily score and then proceed to jack up a jumpshot.

Lmao ballhogging is so bad in Live Run that I've seen people get forced to pick up the ball and then shoot a 3 pointer immediately after from way out there.

Also the dribbling is terrible. You crossover 10 times to try to get pass a guy then when you can you force a shot. With my created player it usually take one or two perfectly timed cross overs to get an open shot.

I even watched someone crossover after an in out pass while no one was guarding them. I just want to play with people that know basketball and have actually played IRL.

Lol spamming dribble moves is another thing I've seen. It's annoying actually if you don't have a high enough defensive rating. I played as a SF before switching to a Rim Protector C and I noticed a lot of a change in how I was able to play defense as a whole.

Personally I'm not that good IRL skill wise, but you don't have to be good at playing to know basketball. These guys can't play basketball nor do they know basketball.

Yea some random teammates are cool. I'll be open under basket I get the pass. We on a break and I'm on the wing. I get a Oop.

Other guys are straight clowns. I'll be under the basket wide open, nothing. They only play the guy with the ball leaving other guys wide open. Yesterday It was so bad, I quit the game. Next time I run into real clowns, I'm gonna get 3 sec lane calls all game! You want to clown, I will too!

I can't even get past the first game of summer league because dudes ball hog and none guards there man so Bennett looks like a superstar.

Yeah...choose play with friends then choose open to public. Last 5 Games I Played With One Other human team mate all games. Rest were cpu teammates. Must more fun. Less lag too.

I literally get more SP when I'm in a game where people pass the ball around and we lose than winning with some ballhogging piece of **** doing iso the whole time scoring easily on his own doing dunks or layups.

Since I cannot do **** on offense to increase my team grade I try playing good defense and I do but live's fail system rarely recognizes my good defense. There are so many possessions where I "force" my intellectually challenged opponent to take a bad shot and do I get rewarded ? NOPE.

There are even times on offense where I set picks and my ballhogging teammate score off of it and again I'm not rewarded. I was averaging 4k+ pro-am points for a while but then all the 10 year olds kept showing up and my pro am grade avg tanked. I had games where I barely got a few hundred. Oh and the worst ballhogs are the ones who only take contested shots the entire time when there are 2 other teammates WIDE OPEN. I give up. I played the **** out of 2k15 and I will give props to EA for their servers. Most games I didn't notice much lag, such an improvement over whatever fail servers 2k is running.

I'm just going to come out and say it -- there are a lot of 2K15 low basketball IQ cheesers that are migrating to the Live 16 demo since 2K15 is dead. I think this problem will rectify when 2K16 drops. They will go back to the 2K series and I think Live will attract a more serious crowd who wants to play team ball.

I'm a 2K fan but I grew up with NBA Live, so I'll support both titles. However, I recognize which community is probably responsible for the more frustrating experiences.

P.S. EA servers are much better than 2K so far, I agree. No lag here.

No joke. The other guy offers assertions but no actual evidence.

I play the other game religiously, and I ain't no ball hog.

My assertion, for which i offer no evidence, is that the divide is between online players who have actually played basketball under a good coach in the real world, and everyone else.

Those under the first group *will tend* to play Live Run the right way and not ball hog. (They'll also tend to create players that aren't shooters or slashers, but rather bigs, stretch fours, etc.) Those in the other group will tend to play ugly, selfish basketball.
