There comes a time for praise and time for criticism we've all played the demo now we've all fiddled around with the sliders the game has after playing the game we all kind of feel (ohhh let's say a little bit underwhelmed with it) and its longevity as far as keeping our interest past maybe say a couple of weeks.
Now I have to say the development team did an outstanding job by improving the game from last year they added tons of animations and that's completely evident. They even added sliders sliders that fix the problems the games had last year and the previous year with NBA Live 15 that improves shooting percentages and some minor defense issues that plagued the series the past two years on next gen.
However and this is one of the biggest however in sports games. The fact that we cannot even edit player accessories is absolutely ridiculous. The simple fact that Kyrie Irving still wears his non signature shoe baffles me.
Now you might be saying gameplay actually matters first and you're right however authenticity comes in many facets and that's one of them.
Now let's go a little bit further with this I mentioned shoes ok so it's a little bit of a minor gripe but it's a segway into many other things and what that is, is simply this.... caring.
It's the simple omissions that are hurting this game. omissions that should have never even happened.
Where is the game speed slider?
Where is the player acceleration slider?
Where is the ability to edit play attributes?
I've played the EAACESS and I've been inside the player attribute area. Within that area you can go into what they call player skills all of the players skills are basically the players attributes you can scroll to them and go to them absolutely individually but not be able to even press or any other button like say X and be able to move the points that are within those players skill attribute numbers. Every player skill has a numerical value of a 15, but it's completely predetermined buy whatever they decide to put into it or have synergy dictate to them.
It's so frustrating and almost such a slap in the face that they give you the ability to look at them but not to give you ability to EDIT them? which my ONLY hope comes from a future patch( not unlike how player weights were able to be edited via a patch in Madden afew yrs aback) Imagine just adding that pressing the button X or A now moves those player attributes sliders up and down all across that 15 number mark.
They focus on creating new modes to compete with the market so that people have something to play online but the simple focus should to care about the little things that have been missing from the game for the past two years and now with NBA Live 16 that makes 3 years guys...
It frustrates me playing this game because it constantly feels like I'm playing something that should have something there that isn't so there's no prolonged enjoyment in the game.
