NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
Just says "minor bug fixes"
Played a half before work
If there was a change it didn't immediately stick out to me....

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
Just gave it a run for 30 mins...
No mid range game still.
Dumb post animations still there.
Generic rookies like Okafor with no hair, Russel still generic, Porzingis still generic...Porzingis is possibly the worst I have ever seen. He is literally a random white guy with a three day growth.
Surely they could at least bother to get an artist to sketch someone remotely similar or give Okafor hair? These are top 5 draft picks for heaven's sake.
I do not like to sound negative...but I have no idea what on earth the LIVE team are thinking. 1.02 gig update and about 7000 synergy records...and nothing has changed.
No other modern, full priced, game is this poorly managed. None.Comment

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
I shut it down for the past week....
Needed a break after testing sliders on each level almost non-stop to the point where I got burn out.
But as mentioned before once they get some regular season games going I'm going to post a base set of sliders for Pro level which I think quite a few guys will enjoy and to be honest with you if the level didn't state it is was Pro most wouldn't even realize it
Now again I have a few house rules like Ratings Only shooting relying on EA's player ratings to determine more outcomes and defensively I tend to stick with one defender an entire possession because that allows the CPU AI to be on equal terms with my AI controlled teammates.
it will take time to adjust to those house rules bur I gurantee you afterwhile the gameplay will be become addictive because there's nothing like seeing a star CPU player abuse a lesser talented player in this game simply because his ratings dictated it.
game is far from perfect but it just feels more organic on Pro Level with tweaked sliders.
I cant get that "first play thru of the demo" joy back AT ALL
I loved the demo at first was like OH man this could be something cool to play but it quickly became this "i wish i could edit the rosters i wish synergy didnt mess up the game" type of rant all the timeBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
I'm noticing that they cleaned up some finishing around the hoop animations, made alot of the lay smoother, crisp, and less flukey looking. Im honestly enjoying the heck out the game right now, the superstars play like superstars and the role players play to there roles, thats all i ever asked for in a basketball game while playing the cpu, thanks ea keep up the good work.Comment

See, this is exactly why we need patch notes. I do not mean to embarrass you man, but Andrew over at NLSC has spoken to EA and there are no gameplay fixes in this patch.
It was just for some crashes and the summer circuit.
By having no notes, we end up with placebo posts like yours...and then a dozen more guys will say "hey, they fixed rebounding because I just got 20 boards with DeAndre Jordan".............when, actually, nothing was touched.
Again, I do not mean to embarrass you...but this is why we need notes.Comment

It's a joke.
And sorry, but I don't understand how a 1.2gb patch can just be for bug fixes.Comment

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
This was recorded from Live '14..
Only reason I am bringing it up again is because I am watching someone stream\ making a YouTube video where on Superstar....they are doing this exclusively with Greg Monroe...they are currently up 43-34 with all points scored by Monroe going coast to coast like this..
They are experiencing a bit more resistance than in the '14 video...but once Monroe gets relatively close to the paint he can launch into a lay up from far out and either score and get fouled.
I get that you can abuse the game, yield unrealistic results from playing unrealistically....but I think this is an inherent issue with 1) the way interior D is handled 2) the speed\ skill\ animations between players....and it still seems to be an issue to this day.Comment

For me on All-Star (and I've been messing around with Superstar the last couple games) I put both jostle sliders down to 0. Put block shots at 100 and it's MUCH harder to do that kind of crap. You have to work to get into the lane and those layup animations and even if you do you will face some rejections as well. Doesn't help online but offline it helps reduce the points in the paint. I still see too much from the cpu but we do have some tools to help. I'd like to see more mid range pullups and quick shots off screens.Comment

Re: NBA Live 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
I've tried a few games on Superstar and I think the cpu plays smart. I don't see the big negative in their style other than me getting my butt kicked. The cpu seems to be able to throw the ball in the bucket like throwing it into the ocean. My guys, not so much. But I certainly have to pick my game up. Feels as though I have to be on my game 100% of the time to compete which in some ways is good and others ways a bit frustrating. On All-Star I feel I have an advantage in even matchups. On Superstar the cpu is clearly better than me. May just stick with All-Star and boost the cpu a little bit.
Again, I'm not a hardcore basketball guy like some of you guys. I'm just not as good.Last edited by rudyjuly2; 10-15-2015, 12:58 PM.Comment

Just barely missed the playoffs at #9 spot in a short season. Will start a new season at 82 games this time. This is the only hoop game I can play over and over in franchise mode. FUN.

You simply can't do that cheese any more. Even the manual screen and drive is much improved since 15 in terms of the CPU defense.
Likewise, the cheese from abusing (while still somewhat possible) the euro-step is largely toned down.
With the right sliders, on the right difficulty you will find it very hard to cheese and score at will in this game. The CPU is pretty impressive, I'll give it that.
I am 36-10 in UT and have had some nailbiting wins thanks to some tough CPU efforts.Comment
