Name Pool?

Hello everybody. I can't wait for Live next week, just after my first bunch of tests and papers for the semester are out of the way too. Quick question - does anyone know if computer generated rookies will have names that the game says? For example, in the ESPN games the names are usually a combo of a pre-existing players first and last names so the game can call them something other than "Number 25" or whatever. This is a small feature that I find makes future years in dynasty slightly more enjoyable than they already are. Anyone know if its in?

yea i hope they say some names instead of numbers. kind of gets annoying after you get deeper into franchise mode and all you hear is numbers being called on the PA system

Actually haven't bought Live yet...had my credit card stolen and have just now gotten my stuff together enough to start making purchases like this again.

Now the game has been out for a while...any word yet on a name pool? Thanks!

Unfortunately, they don't say generated rookies names. After about 3 years in dynasty, my team is halfway full of "#16!"s etc...Its not as bad as it seems though. The worst part is when you play other teams and dont really know who's who.

that stinks. I created MJ just for slam dunking in ASW and they don't say his name either, which is really suprising. Maybe they do in a game, I haven't tried that.

This sucks. For some reason it is a big deal to me...although I'll prob still buy Live anyways.

man..they dont even say simple last names like williams, jones, smith, jackson, etc for created players or rookies...i was like WTF!!!!!!!???!!
i guess they only say the names of players who are originally on the game..even if the last names are same...pure crap but i'll live...still an excellent game

That is disappointing.

I remember this was in Live 2002 and early ones. I'll always wonder why they take stuff like this out
