For those of us who like to trade games for others.

Well i had a problem this year because live was comming out so fast and i have other things to pay for. i usually go to electronic boutique to trade in games, but i always feel like i got robbed, so i tried somewhere else. i went to blockbuster to rent a movie and saw a sign called game rush so i went over and asked some questions and i was surprised by the response. i went home and got some games and returned. the deal they is trade in any 3 games and receive 5 dollars additionally on top of what the game is worth, plus if your trading in the games for a new release you get $20 dollars off the new release. let me explain just in case some are confused. when i went today i brought in live 04 which was worth only $16 dollars, maxpayne 2 which was $3 dollars, and manhunter which was $8 dollars. that comes to a total of $27 dollars. if you add in $5 dollars additional for each title that comes to $42 dollars. if you are getting a new release or preordering the same day you trade in you get an extra $20 dollars. so that brought me to an total of $62 dollars, take away the $41.50 for live 05 that gave me $20.50 credit to do with what i wanted to. so really i traded in 3 games for two because i got $35 dollars extra for just doing the trade. so if i wanted to i could get both basketball games this year. i hope this helps some of you guys.

Wow thanks. I only have two old xbox games, nba2k2 and projectgotham 2, but I could look around for some old ps2 games.

But you said its only 3 combined right? you cant go in tehre with 20 old ps2 games?
20 dollars off 20 dollars is free right (concerning espn2k5)?
I can basically trade in three sh*** games, of 3 dollar value each, and get a game free and get MONEY back???

you can trade in any game. live 03 or even madden 02 and madden 03 just to give an example. if those games are worth say 2 dollars apiece, instead of getting $6 dollars you get $21 dollars. you have to trade in the games and get the new release or preorder the game you want the same day to get the $ 20 dollar extra off. so for those old games you get a total of $41 dollars. if it was electronic boutique all you would get is the $6 dollars if that. the newer the game the more you get for it. i did see that the old halo is still worth $20 dollars. just depends on the game. they do have a list of the most wanted games. what i did was get the live 05 preordered and put the extra money i had left on a blockbuster value card which i can use to rent movies, games, or buy movies and games. it has to be 3 games or more to get the extra $5 dollars added to each game.

How do we find a place that does this? I am in KY, and am very interested. Is it just any blockbuster?

Goto Blockbuster's website www.blockbuster.com and there should be a link for Game Rush. On the right side there should be a url you can click to find the store nearest you based on state.
