Is NBA Live fun?

[Jimplication]

Videogame-wise I consider myself a passing fan, in that I am more looking for a fun game than I am a dead-on simulation of the sport. I put fun first, and if the game also turns out to be realistic, then that's an added bonus.

That being said, I ask those of you that have Live 2005 if you think it's a fun game to play?

I assume the All-Star Break stuff is a lot of fun, but is the 5 on 5 play fun and exciting also? Is it fun enough that you can see yourself playing all the games of the season, or do you think you will resort to simulating?

Realism is a pretty big thing in sports games, but with basketball I think I place fun factor higher than I do in other sports, and thus am very curious about how Live scores in the overall fun factor department.

I've only played it a few hours last night when I picked it up, and yes its a great game of BB and it's very fun IMO. There SDC/3pt shootout are well worth the purchase of this game no matter what anyone say's.

Yes its a lot of fun i was playing until 3 in the morning I like the fact that they do actually call fouls in the game I love it cant wait to get off of work. Also I played the All Star & Rookie/Sophomore game, I like the way u can throw the ball of the backboard like TMac and dunk . A+ for me so far

Yes its a lot of fun i was playing until 3 in the morning I like the fact that they do actually call fouls in the game I love it cant wait to get off of work. All Star weekend itself make this game very FUN! But the gameplay is very solid--I can see some minor slider adjustment but otherwise very very solid.Well worth the $$

Is there anything about this game that warrants purchasing this over 2004 which is now only $18 used? Also are there player intos this year? Not a big deal,just asking?

I had a lot of fun playing it last night. I'm paying for it this morning though at work, I'm so tired. I played 3 games last night and went through all the SDC tutorials. The games were great, I went 2-1. I won with Dallas, Toronto, and lost with Houston. I just killed the CPU with the Raptors.

In the SDC tutorials and practice, I messed around for about half an hour to an hour. It was pretty tough. I got the hang of the beginner practice pretty easily, but the alley-oop practice was a little tougher. I finally started picking up on it so I moved to the advanced tutorial practice. I couldn't do anything here. Hopefully someone here will start a good thread with some tips. It was a lot of fun though.

Of course NBA Live is going to be fun, the qustion should be is it any good?? I sometimes have fun drinking all night but is it good for me??????
I think you all have to realize that not much has changed with Live, just like not much has changed with Madden or Tiger Woods (and I do have all of them) EA is starting to fall back on their name to much and forget about putting out sports games that change for the better year after year. EA makes great sport games, it's just pretty much the same **** though. You would think that EA would be tring Extra hard to impress since we can all but the "other" game for $20. By the way I have no problems with what they did to Def Jam, that game is great! For those of you who dont already own that, hop on that bandwagon.
