I think I finally found a trade for "The Glove"

Tell me how this one says. The samuel Dalemburt trade I mentioned yesturday the salarys didn't match up so it wouldn't go through. I examined contracts and this is what I came up with. Remember, I want it to be as realistic as possible.

Celtics Trade'
Gary Payton
Ricky Davis
2nd round pick

Pacers Trade
Ron Artest
Johnathan Bender

Why The Pacers to this deal: Ron Artest has been in numerous of trade rumors all around the league during the off-season so I figured he was on the block. They get Ricky Davis as his replacement who is only rated 2 points below him. Ricky can add some explosiveness to the offense. Gary Payton would be there starting PG since they have Tinsely starting there. GP is an expiring contract and Indiana is way over the cap. This will put them in the right direction.

Why the Celtics do this dealL: Artest is a defensive beast, which is something the C's have been lacking. Many refer to the C's as wimps underneath the basket, this would change that. Artest would automatically become Pierce's right hand man. Bender is a good young power foward that can back up Jefferson and make Raef trade bait.

The Pacers would be takin on about 10 million and the Celtics will be taking on about 12.

I'm sorry man but thats unrealistic, Larry Bird has said he believes that Artest is one of the top 10 players in the league and he would only trade in return for one, and Davis nor Glove are even close. Whatever floats your boat though

First of all nobody wants the glove or ricky davis, second of all Bird says he won't trade Artest unless he gets something really good, but i make trades all the time in my franchises and i say you should pull the trade off.

Forget if it would happen in real life or not. The game's trade A.I. is stingy enough that if it goes through at all then it isn't too ridiculous.

that's true, I was dealing some last night and if the trade didn't favor the CPU as far as ratings, they wouldn't do it. They don't really seem to be too concerned about contract lengths though, just as long as the amounts match up(unless it's the Bobcats, you can dump any contract on them and their 15 million or so cap space).

It would never happen because the Celtics are actually getting quality players in return. We all know Ainge doesn't have freakin clue on how to put a team together. If the Caltics got Pollard and Foster in return, then it would be much more believable.
