Shot Settings question

Hello fellow Live family. Ive had 16 since launch and have been enjoying it but have been experiencing the same issues as the rest of you. Just curious what shot settings are you all playing with ratings only or skills plus rating. It is interesting how both settings play better. Skills seems more "alive" and "earned" with nice animations whereas ratings only seems more true to player performance wise. The numbers of fouls and contact in general are different for both. What are you guys experiencing and does anyone feel more realism from one or the other.

I'm playing skill plus rating. Feels pretty good and I love the meter.

The shooting (releases) feel very realistic to me which I really, really like. Since I like the releases so much it's easy for me to stick with skill + rating.

I'm sure it's just a personal preference thing but the jump shooting on Live feels pretty right to me.

I've never understood how people can only play ratings. Why not just watch a CPU vs CPU game if you have no control or impact on the shooting percentages?
