A few questions for any one who has the game.

I'm still deciding between getting Live or ESPN. At first, I was definitely getting ESPN but then i saw all the negative posts on this site. I'm probably going to get Live but I have a few deciding questions before I do.

How is the franchise mode (realistic cpu trades? etc.) and is it better than ESPN's franchis mode? Can you change player's positions and do players have secondary positions? Is this game sim or arcade?

    Thanks in advanced!!!

I can only answer the last question. Simcade is the word I would use.

The graphics give it an arcade feel, IMO. But the way superstars play like themselves and how teams gear their game around the stars makes you feel like its a sim. The speed of the game is fast, but can be slowed down by sliders. It all depends on what you look for in a sim or in an arcade game. Stats seem realistic, and CPU offense works the ball around for its shots. it hard to score (for me) on All-Star and Superstar level w/out running plays. This is not a dunkfest game. My first 12 games I played, most of my points came in the paint and I lost all those games. I had to have a balanced in-out attack to win. The pistons puounded me on rebounds while the T-wolves shot the lights out.

No clue about the Franchise, but you can change players positions, secondary positions, numbers, accesories etc...

I too would call it a simdcade, but def more towards the sim side. The game may seem a little fast out of the box, but using Pareds sliders has given the game a whole new feel. Not that it needed much fixing to begin with.

Get both. I am still pondering on whether to get Live or not (check my thread) and I bought 2k5 the day it came out. It has it's hitches, but you can get it for $15 at wal mart. 24/7 is worth it alone. And Live is only $40.
