Is there one way or the sliders to finish the games with lower scores?
I play a superstar level 12-minute quarter with the slides default, practically in the dynasty I'm doing with the clippers all matches end with at least 120/125 points a game if not more, is there any way to get the scores more realistic ?

Oh I'm quite certain you can reduce the high scoring games with some slider adjustments. However , if you prefer not to tinker with sliders (slider changes must be done carefully so as not to interrupt or interfere with key aspects of the game) you can adjust defensive pressure settings under the coaching strategy if you haven't already. In my Dynasty games this is a must on Superstar level ( every year I find the game plays tougher during Dynasty compared to Tip Off game based on the 3 games I have played thus far so may need larger sample size to be more definitive with my assertion) to achieve desirable stats and outcomes ( increases defensive intensity within the game thereby encouraging more passing or ball distribution, which in turn slows down the game, elevates time of possession, reduces a high basket conversion rate and ultimately keeps scores lower).
I normally change defensive assignments based on the match-ups as needed and employ tight ON ball pressure only for a select cpu player or 2 and tight OFF ball pressure for the other identified cpu players during a game. You will need to experiment with this and make the necessary adjustments based on how your cpu opponent is playing and attacking you on offense. You can also try using off ball defense to to thwart the cpu and slow the game down. I'm sure there are other ways to achieve your goals but give this a shot if you haven't already.Last edited by Calvenn; 12-24-2015, 09:11 PM. -
Re: Is there one way or the sliders to finish the games with lower scores?
I would say with your current style of play (based on the score avg. you posted) perhaps lowering to game time to 10 minutes.
Personally I use 12 mins with accelerated clock(9). The scores are more like D1 college. I will say if you are playing dynasty and using 12, the CPU sticks to the assigned substitution rotations better than on any other time setting. This allows me to just play the game, as the computer auto subs to my setting., except for the occasional time out to stop a scoring streak or to sub in specific players.
Once you find your sweet spot you can adjust the sim minutes to help match up scores. I average about 70ppg with the 76ers on SET at 12-9. That's about 6-7 points under my league leading team. That's why I'd suggest 12-10 for you. I hope it helps.Currently playing:

Reducing your game time would be a simpler and quicker solution if you are open to that approach. Have you already considered this (made the assumption that you already thought of this)? If not that would be the recommended first step. If you must stick to 12 min qtrs then at least make sure the accelerated clock is in use as mentioned by Seanhazz1.Last edited by Calvenn; 12-24-2015, 10:02 PM.Comment
