Perimeter players play like MJ
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm referring to their style of play. They tend to shoot off the dribble quite a lot or even drive inside and take difficult layups in traffic (which they tend to make). Not many NBA players are very good at doing that, and yet most of the players in the game do this. EA could have significantly improved the realism of the CPU's offense if it had players off the ball move more to get open and take more spot up jumpers. Hopefully they can work on this for next year.

I've noticed this a little bit, not as bad as you are saying though. A lot of times a PG, SG or SF will receive the pass at the 3 point line, do a pump fake, dribble in a couple of steps, stop and shoot a jumper. it's not so much shooting off of the dribble, just a dribble then stop then jumper. and I like the CPU driving to the basket AI, if a guy can get to the basket in the NBA, he will. And maybe it's just sliders or soemthing, but I don't see them making too many of the off balanced, difficult layups in traffic.
I do agree that there is a lack of off the ball movement to set up open set jump shots though. Players move around and try to use that little push off move but there seems to be a real lack of catch and shooting done by the CPU. -
