What makes you think that? If that's true, that would be pretty cool.

Have you seen pics of other NBA legends ommitted this time around (Olajuwon, Stockton, Barkley, Robinson, etc.)?

        Air Kobe,

        great work!!
Can you show us pics of the actual bheds face maps?

If michael jordan's cyberface is in the game then the way to unlock him would be to make a CAP jordan and save the rosters. Then you have to edit the new DBC roster file on the PC and make his ISCREATED field FALSE (this will tell the game that he is NOT a created player. you also have to put in his PLYRPKG field which im guessin is MIJORDA so that he will use the hidden cyberface and speech file
But it can only happen if you can edit the DBC. i hope you can decode it!!
I opened it using a hex editor but you can only edit the names. i dont know which hex codes refer to the ratings, weight, height, Dunk package, player package , scoring area( where the player likes to shoot) , etc....

we will also be able to create custom teams if editing the DBC is possible.

However, Using Notepad ---> you can make Michael jordan show up by editing a existing player on the DBC. for example, you can get Michael Pietrus - change his name to Michael Jordan.
change his PLYRPKG which is MIPIETR to MIJORDA. and voila you have the real michael jordan in the game. just edit his ratings. However, you'll lose Michael PIetrus forever.
You just have to find a player with similar body type, dunk package, scoring area since you can't change them with the notepad.

btw, do you think it's possible to edit the .ssh (ps2)files? I can send you a couple of ssh files if you want

Hi bats ! Sorry for the late answer but i've been busy at work.

The Jordan's face is in the PlyPrts.viv file, under fe.
                The file's name is plyrprts~MIJORDA.big.
In fact it is a mini picture, because it is only the picture displayed ingame when the game display informations(stats ...) about your player.
There is no cyberface of jordan actually in the game.(at least i didn't find one)

If michael jordan's cyberface is in the game then the way to unlock him would be to make a CAP jordan and save the rosters. You're right if we manage to edit the dbc file we will be able to do all the mods that can be done on pc. that's include modifying or even adding players.
As I said in a previous post i've done a tools for dbc editing but the file are protected with some kind of checksum. I didn't take time to find if i can do something with it. I will take a look as soon as i've finished the Xsh Tool.

Can you show us pics of the actual bheds face maps?
I can't for the moment as i just find last night that the XSH format for the face maps is different from what i've been working on. I can open all the files but the face maps and ingame jersey. But I have already some idea of how the data is written. I will probably have a version of my tools supporting those files in a few days

btw, do you think it's possible to edit the .ssh (ps2)files? I can send you a couple of ssh files if you want
I could make a try, but not until I finish the Xbox tools.

That's all for the moment ! I'll be back when I have some more news !

                    Hi all !

Here are some good news ! I finally managed to read the jersey and faces files !!

As usual you will find attached some screenshot(Kobe, Shaq and Iverson faces, Miami and International Team jersey), but this time they are zipped as i wanted to post them to you in their original size.
As you can see the faces and jersey template have completely changed from last year. Players have now Eyes and teeth textures

I'm currently working on a better Import support, especially because of transparency management. (Hard to deal with it easily for the user).
Once a get something good, I will re write the software UI so that it can be more user friendly than the one i made cause it was only for testing purpose.
After all that, I will release it to you.

Maybe you can start working on jersey or Players faces patches while i'm finishing my tool !

That's all for the news !

HMccoy, do you have an xbox roster with EA's official SHaun Livingston and Bull96's Michael Jordan CAP. if you could send it to me, i can try to unlock Michael Jordan's ID pic (mugshot) so that bullls96's jordan CAP will be able to use it.

I'm not sure if it's gonna work though. i'll just send the hacked file back to you so you can try it. my email's [email protected]
