    We must find out

We have to figure out what is the key to guys catching on the run in live. I played for about a hour and still can't figure this one out. I hope its not just a random thing.

I know this may mean nothing but, I tend to always keep my finger on the turbo when I see a fast break and It works most of the time.

Look for the "hand up" run animation.

When you get the ball off of a rebound or turnover, one of two things will happen. Your men will either shuffle up the court sideways, looking for a safety-valve outlet pass against the press (which they will stop and catch), or they will run out with one hand up calling for the rock(which they will ALWAYS catch on the run).

Seems like the CPU decides whether you get to break or not. I have noticed that they tend to run out after blocks or steals, but rarely call for the lead pass off of rebounds. I've also noticed that when your team gets on a roll, the CPU calls for the break alot more often.

If you see your players running with their hand up, two or three taps of the white button will end in a nice dunk. If they're shuffling sideways, you will have to manually fast-break by using the off-ball control.

edit: I was going to copy this in the "Fast-break solution" thread, but after skimming through it, Graphik already posted the "hand up" animation reference. About 12 hours ago...guess I should pay more attention.
