NBA Live Series wants to Improve Give the Community a chance to Give TRUE feedback

I keep seeing and talking to people who say NBA Live "Has to improve Gameplay & Franchise Modes", and i completely agree.

Where I disagree is "What the best way to improve gameplay is". As a Longtime Basketball Videogamer, i can say with 100% certainty that WITHOUT the Community be giving the option to Edit and give true feedback to the Game Devs, the gameplay will not improve to the Level that Users want.

Now before you guys go crazy, this is what I mean. The "Other" NBA game, does MOST of their Gameplay patches because USERs Edit and find issues that need to be addressed. Now without the Ability for guys to Dig in and make changes, Most of the fixes for the issues wont be found. Major reason is a team of DEVs is nowhere near as Big as Community of USERs. The more eyes that can test things out and give feedback the more likely issues will be seen and fixes can be found. Plus DEVs only have so much time, because they do have a Real life as well.

I have been so hopeful for NBA Live to succeed, but honestly I cant buy a game where I cant make changes to improve gameplay. I mean how can you give true feedback If we are forced to play with a "FIXED/Unchangable" roster.

Agreed.
The 2 best sports games in terms of listening, communicating and executing gamers needs are NBA 2k and the show. Its no coincidence neither of these are EA games. I'm not an EA ***** in the least so don't misconstrue but when it comes to whether or not EA is going to alter the game according to user feedback is best guess. I always feel in the forums for the show or NBA 2k that If there are common issues among users that the issue will be at least acknowledged. I have no such confidence in EA games unfortunately. it's kinda like " well I hope they realize and will fix"
That being said live, Madden, fifa and NHL all seem to be on the right track. Live has been my best surprise this year. So maybe they do listen they just don't communicate as well.

Yeah it is very ODD that EA doesnt get more active on Live Message Boards and interact with the Community. They are alot more Active with Madden. In the Social Media friendly world we have today, Interaction is Huge.

As we can see by the lack of Community involvement on these NBA Live Forums, something needs to Change and Fast before there is No more NBA Live.

You know what, I'd rather them be quiet and do their due diligence behind the scenes. Wanna bring up 2k? All they seem to focus on is getting celebrities onboard for larger audiences and milking Michael Jordan every single year. I'd go as far as to say EA w/ live is in the same place 2k was when they were trying to earn an audience. This is next gen. EA is taking it's time to get things right. They knew the real game was gonna be Live 15 and Live 16, with those being significantly better than '14. Now 2k is complacent, accepting the fact that the last two games have done nothing except adding unnecessary flair to MyCareer (which, thanks to Spike Lee's involvement isn't even YOUR career anymore) If we are comparing this year's games (2k16 and Live 16) I'd go as far as to say Live has given it's users more meaningful updates, adding courts, updated players and animations, general patches with bug fixes and it's had the more consistently stable online play. Let's not forget Live hasn't had a solid game since '10 and '14 was essentially pointless because they revamped their game entirely with '15 (online, graphics, gameplay,etc.) So that's basically 5 years of 2k getting the leg up on Live, adding more signature animations, overall animations, progressing with graphics and presentation. Want EA to listen to your feedback? Reach out to them, most of the important people involved in the game have social media accounts. Start up a excel, get fellow user feedback and send it to multiple people involved with the game. Don't sit here on a forum whining about the game, take action. There are several people here in several different threads saying the same things. Imo I can be patient with EA and the Live series because I can see the progress they continue to make, most of which was in Live 16. Whereas with 2k, I see them becoming more and more lazy with their game. Don't get me wrong, It's a polished game, but the team has had a consistent run of solid games, not having to go backwards. This year for example, they have yet to update any player appearances, correct the skin tone issues, fix their online instability (which has been an issue for years), and the bogged down over animated feel the game can have. EA is building upon it's games year over year, w/ Live 15 being the base for future games. Give it time, the cutimization will come, the gameplay is getting awfully close, and you can always add new features to a game to make it more in depth, 2k has proven that (perhaps even in a negative way).

I like Live a lot but at this rate they don't have much more time. After the way Live 16 has been selling, Live 17 might be it. They've have got to get Live 17 right, from the start. They've got to let the customer have more control in the game, editing is a must.

As far as talking to them outside of this forum, I have tried. I'm not alone in this either. People have reached out to them on Twitter and have got nothing but "stay tuned" or complete silence. What do you expect the consumers to do? I'm getting old man. I don't have time to wait another 3 years for them to get it right.

More meaningful updates? What courts have they updated? Are we giving them a thumbs up for finally getting around to updating the rookie class of 2015? They get no gold sticker on that from me. We still have Porzingis looking like some random guy, and we still have too many generic faces...like, literally guys on separate teams who have the same generic face. Bug fixes: we still have the AI dribbling the ball until time runs out after you've played an entire game....this is the 3rd year in a row of this occurring.

Let's give credit where it's actually due....they out out a heck of a update that improved the game a great deal. That's where I will tip my hat to the devs.

I understand they're building, and of course if your a EA/Live fan your going to have more patience than someone who is just a fan of basketball gaming. But for some who has been playing a while there are some things we expect, and it'd be cool if the Live team were a little more involved head on in addressing those things. Doesn't even matter if it's here, visit your own forums, hit us up with a little more than 'keep it locked' once in a while. At the end of the day they don't have to do anything- they aren't obligated to but it's fair to ask.

I never said the other game was perfect either but they have the CORE of the game set up. Franchise Mode, Customization, Editing, In Game Trades, Player Movement by User, Gameplay and User Sharing.

You cant keep giving a game time EVERY Year. EA wont keep supporting a game that isnt selling. The game is basically 3 years in and has NO Franchise Mode. Users cant even make trades in the game. I mean this are BASIC things in a Basketball game that are missing.

At this time NBA Live is just a game to pick up and play for a week and really has No Long term Replay Value, Unless you want to play the Gimmick Modes. And that doesnt justify the price of a game for many, and that is proven by the sales.

A Prime Example of a simple issue that could be effecting Gameplay, would be "Run Plays" or "Triple Threat Tendencies" or "Shot/Touches Tendency", or numerous other Tendencies/Coaching Profiles/Ratings. Some will say Synergy controls this, I say not all stats Translate to a Sports Video Game engine. This has been proved in ALL sports games. Also what if something was coded backwards? It has happened in a Ton of games.

I GUARANTEE that i can name 6 guys(including myself) that if you give us 1 month with the game, we can #1 Dramtically improve it OR #2 Determine Which area of the Game's Code is having issues.

I kinda feel at this point with NBA Live talk is done. Everything that can be said has been. The only thing that matters is the end product. I had downloaded the free demo and stuff 9actually enjoyed it some) but I eventually deleted it to free up space on my XB1. I wasn't playing it, anyway. It's just not deep enough for me. I'll check them out, as always, but I'm not interested unless they deliver a deep compelling product. That's where I'm at now. Deliver or don't.

I 100% agree, i try to post every once in awhile to try to get the boards going and hoping suggestions are read by the right people. It is just like the GameChangers Program, I NEVER understood it. It seems they get the info from the Gaming Communities and pass it back to EA but changes dont occur, at least in the NBA Live Series.

I read thru threads talking about No Facescan Updates, Ridiculous Ratings Errors, I mean honestly none of it makes sense. How can you be working on a New game when you cant even get the Players faces scanned in this years game. It seems like alot of disorganization going on with the series and no clear direction for the future.
