Hey, cmon now. We havent even seen Shaq play on the Heat yet, from what Ive heard he's gonna be starting at SG because he wants to show Kobe how its done. I credit ESPN videogames for that inside info.

Originally posted by ludacris06Live does have playbooks, you just have to assign them to the CPU every game. Too bad you can't save your adjustments...
All the star players play like their real life counterparts, so couldn't you say that's realistic? Not all the teams play realistic in ESPN. Shaq rarely gets touches from what I've read. When he does get the ball, he's shooting from 10 feet out and that's not cool.
Everyone has their reasons for why they like or dislike a game, so to each their own.
But Peja, Reggie, Duncan, Webber etc etc etc...are all almost perfect.
Again, I like LIVE. It's improved a lot.
IMO it would be even better with authentic play sets. 10 Man Mo Cap could do that incredibly if they wanted to.
It's not that hard to do team specific play books...Madden has them. ID had them. ESPN has them.
And for the kids...this is known as 'constructive criticism'.
So there's no need to cry with the STFU and BS about Shaq playing SG.
And I don't mean you Luda, I know you know basketball.Comment

Re: This game is like Whoa!
Anyone questioning monkey in such a uninformed, childish manner doesn't spend much time on these boards, and doesn't know much about basketball to boot.
Do some research before you bash.
By the way, monk, I agree wholeheartedly with your assesment of Live. Use the game's copious animations in the context of real play sets, and ... well, whoa!
That's why I have some hope for March Madness, unless "be the floor general" ends up to be more EA marketing malarkey.Comment

It looks cool. I don't normally bother with March Madness, but that's got me interested this year.
Something like this (below) in LIVE 06 would be great.
QUOTE : EA SPORTS: Which coaches lent their individual talents to the game?
O'Brien: We are fortunate enough to have coaches such as Bill Self from Kansas, Jamie Dixon from Pittsburgh, Ben Braun from Cal and Steve Alford from Iowa to name a few. All of our coaches provide us with scouting reports that allow us to assign each school specific playbooks, all which are fully customizable.Comment

You can change play books...
Besides, your arguement is NO years of real play books is better than ONE...
And, honestly, how many people play multi year franchises and actually play every game?
I'd rather a realistic 2004 / 2005 season.
And speaking of the current season...LIVE is the only game to offer season mode, so it gets major points thereComment
