    Fastbreak Consensus

Is the consensus that you can't run fastbreaks w/o your man stopping to catch the ball? From the threads I've read, it's argued both ways. What's the consensus?

SOmetimes they do, sometimes they don't, you don't want too much fastbreaking though

Ive noticed it happens nearly everytime I get steal. Ive never been able to do it after a defensive rebound. So, yes you can run fastbreaks, but it depends on the situation. I think they tried to make it so you cant abuse it. But next year I think they need to add a slider for it so people who like to run alot can.

yeah. you have to wait for the right situation. just like in real life.

Do you know what will happen if EA allowed you to run straight at the basket everytime you get the rebound?

            Becareful what you wish for....

Because of the demand for lots of fastbreaks, i'm betting that NBA Live will be a RUN and GUN game Next Year.

so please stop posting whining that "there aren't enough fastbreaks."
Play it the right way. Play aggressive D to cause turnovers then run the break.

I notice that when one of your teammates raises their hand they will catch the ball on the run...

Thats why we need to request a slider and not demand that they make a change. As long as they give us options, then everyone can have their way. Im fine with the way it is now, but I also understand some people like to run a fast paced game with alot of breaks.

I think as long as they balance it out so the D can pick off the passes just as easy as the players trying to catch it, I think it could work. Maybe have a few passes sail out of bounds when thrown carelessly. Make the run and gun players play smart and not just throw an outlet pass after every board, turnover, or steal.

I agree with bats because I don't want NBA Live 2003 all over again, I think I burnt that game.
