    Thinking about picking this up

Would it be worth it since i have 2k5? Is there a good post and midrange game? Also how many CAP spots are there?

    thnx
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Re: Thinking about picking this up

    it depends.

2k5 has way better post play and fastbreaks, and also has more "sim and realistic" dunking. (not too flashy but may get repetitive)

live has a better way of haveing a realistic number of fouls called.

if you really like sim basketball stick with 2k5. some of my gripes on 2k5 EA has fixed and vice versa.

but with sliders fixed (i use bizcanos superstar sliders for 3k5) 2k5 is a very great and enjoyable game.

i play live with the default sliders since i just want it to be pure run and gun semi arcade/semi sim fun. live also has a better franchise mode also...hate it when 2k5 comes with just the association and no season mode.

    hope this helps

yes, go buy the game. anyone that plays live on default sliders is going to get an arcade game, but go look at Pared's slider thread and look at the result that I have been getting. NBA Live 2005 is the best basketball game, by far, that I have ever played. There are very few complaints that I could think of.

How many cap spots are there? would i be able to do more or less then i did in 2k5? I made historic teams i made like 39 or so caps and gave starting 5's for 80's nba teams
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

You hit the nail on the head!!!!

If Live and ESPN both had create a team, this would take both games to another level. The games have old school jerseys, create a players, shoes (old school nikes, adidas, and converse in Live etc). All you needed was the space and/or slots to create teams and players.

This would make both games great!
