i'd trade it right away,it's just that i'm saving cash to get March Madness and college hoops 2k5.and when both those games come out,i'll probably not play anything else till NCAA football 2006 comesout.

Re: Should I
You're asking that on a Live forum? Well duh people are gonna say go with Live lol.
I say just rent it first. I mean, even though one game does not totally fit your liking doesn't mean the other one will. Because Live and ESPN are too TOTALLY different games. Totally different feel.
Trading ESPN in for like $7 ain't worth it. If you want Live, then just buy it full $40. ESPN doesn't suck that bad to give away for $7 lol... Owning both basketball games wouldn't be a bad choice.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

Re: Should I
I own them both and have been getting more into live recently. You will never appreciate timeouts so much. I agree with people that say that both are good in different ways. Which is kind of good and kind of bad. I like them both a lot. I just wish I could decide myself on one or the other.. If you really want to try out live just rent it or buy it outright. Its a good game and is worth it. I wouldnt sell or get rid of espn though. It was only $20 and is well worth it. Its just as good as Live. People that tell you otherwise are just trying to push the game they spent money for, or have invested time in. Ask people that own both and have played both quite a bit and they will all tell you both have pluses and minuses. I seriously think they are about as equal as it gets..
That said if Sega releases a patch and fixes the timeout problem, I think I would give the slight edge to ESPN. Overall that is. Live still has advantages when it comes to franchise play. Although so does ESPN in ways. I like the way pgs play in ESPN, players get more realistic stats. Whereas in Live you get more realistic team stats although the player stats are lacking a bit. Live is more a break down you man and go one on one game. ESPN is more of a running plays game. You do get more realistic fouls and 3's from the cpu in Live though. Live's cpu post players are more effective I guess although I havent seen a huge difference although Shaq in Live is greater than Shaq in ESPN. Although I dont think its as big a difference as people make it out to be. I do like the human control of the post players in ESPN better. Up and unders baby. You get more realistic trade AI in Live. Lives franchise mode is more complete although it has problems too. See my post on the abundance of steals and blocks and the lack of assists. I really think all are products of Live's one on one nature. ESPN blows live away online and head 2 head imo. It really depends on what you want in a game..Last edited by Walker8; 10-15-2004, 09:32 AM.Comment

Re: Should I
the inevitable finally came to fruition this mornning.ESPN is at EB and Live is in my possesion...No need to say the reason's why the transaction happened,we all know the faults that ESPN had, although they did ALOT of things right still too many things were screwy.Comment
