Ive been messing around with Live today and enjoying it. Two questions though. Im playing allstar with blocks turned all the way down for both cpu and human. Everything else is default. I still get too many blocks. I also have trouble getting realistic assists. It seems like most of my scoring is going one on one and breaking down my defender. Any tips on getting realistic assist numbers? And any way to tune down blocks?(I know this one has been discussed already, but I cant seem to find a resolution). Other than that the stats Im getting are nice.. Although I get a lot of steals too. Im probably going to start a franchise with this game and use ESPN solely for Online play and 24/7.. Best of both worlds.

blocks unfortunately you can't do anything about.
assists i get a good number but the comp will usually get a low num. Just use ur PG or whoever has a higher pass rating and pass low. I use zone cutter (pf and c crossover the paint) and they end up the middle. i have jkidd and you'll only sometimes get lob passes which makes it faster for you to shoot afterwards. -

Cool, I havent messed around with calling too many plays yet except pick and roll. Just been running and gunning so far. Im actually getting the hang of fast breaking and the forcefields and they dont annoy me nearly as much. Although the fast breaks dont come as often as they should, I still get them. Im basically just passing it around in the half court and trying to take my guy off the dribble, finding space, the open man etc.. The problem is my assist numbers are pretty much balanced between everyone because of the way I distribute. I get like 3-4 assists per guard and SF whereas my lowpost players dont get as much. And I end up with like 15 for the game because its rare a guy is just open and I dont have to do anythign with the dribble. Im playing with the C's and Payton gets like 3 assists and 5-7 steals a game.
Also is there a way to just call for a pick without calling a pick and roll? And how do I call for a double team on defense? Im probably just stupid when it comes to this?Last edited by Walker8; 10-14-2004, 05:24 PM.Comment

you can do something about the blocks. just drop every players block rating by 8 or 10 points. thats if the blocks really are that much of an issue with you. or you can try pared's sliders and see if that helps.Originally posted by Walker8everybody wants to ruleComment

If you guys aren't using Pared's 0.5 or 1.1 sliders then you will always have those issues to pound in theOriginally posted by 50first
