Also, recently I've noticed that whenever I'm on defense and I'm not controlling the defender playing the man with the ball, that whenever the CPU goes for a shot, my player just stands there and doesn't contest the shot what-so-ever. Is this happening for anyone else and if so, what sliders/ratings need to be adjusted to help fix it?

Manually fixing the blocking problem...
I'm trying to figure out a way to fix the blocking problem. With both blocking sliders at 0 there still are way too many. I'm going to pick two teams and lower every player on each team's blocking ratings. Besides blocking, are there any other ratings that may contribute to the high number of blocks? I'm also trying to figure out a certain formula by which each stat should be lowered. I assume that out of the current NBA players, Ben Wallace has the highest block rating (94). I want to use this as a starting grounds and figure out how low it should be to the extent that he still gets at least 2 blocks a game. If anyone could give me some pointers concerning this stuff, it would be helpful.

Originally posted by StormlorWhat you have to do is set everybody down to 0 except for players like Shaq, Wallace, Bradley, Duncan. Centers and PF that block. Someone like Peja who has a 19 Block needs to be down to 0. I would do it but I don't have the time at the moment.
Yeah, tried that and it works quiet well. Just do it for each team BEFORE you play them if you don't have time to do all etc.Comment

Originally posted by 50firsttried it once... just to see if it helped the blocking issues. for an exhibition game. lowered everyones block rating down by ten and had the layup/block and shooting sliders at 5. it worked to my liking but didn't want to edit every single players block rating. by the time that would have been finished. nba live 2007 would have been out..lol
It took me maybe 3 hours at most to lower every players block rating by 10 and that was with with me taking a 10 minute break like 2-3 times so thats incorrect. Basically, it can be annoying to have to do it yourself but hey the season doesn't start for like another two weeks and so many people are so impatient with video games they just want to jump into a franchise and breeze through 3-5 seasons in less than 3 months it's crazy.
I believe in doing what developers won't do like EA and VC and thats make syre players are rated and more more realistic before I even start a franchise so 3 hours of my time is well worth it since I spend 100's of hours playing these games during franchise play. As for Live just lowering each player by 10 ratings points in blocks has allowed me to atleast leave Dunk/Layup Blk to between 10-12 and it seems very realistic now as blocks in my games only occur mostly in the paint area and roughly only 3-6 times a game.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

I was just thinking, does the jumping slider play a factor in the blocking issue?Comment
