No I tested it, dribble rating affects assists too, doesn't really make sense [well kinda], but that's how it is, offensive awareness doesn't seem to affect it as much as it should.

You say that it determines the player's ability to score, but I would assume that the field goal, three point, dribbling, inside scoring, and quickness ratings would determine the ability to score. Can somebody possibly respond in higher detail, because I completely understand what defensive awareness stands for, I'm just not sure what the purpose is of off awareness when the primacy rating determines who shoots the most.
Your'e not getting it.
The Field goal, 3pts and inside scoring determine the shooting ability only.
PaT Garrity is a great shooter but he won't score a ton of points.
A high offensive awareness makes the player more agressive in scoring.
This is the MAin difference (aside from quickness) between a Dirk Nowitzki and a PAt Garrity.

So basically what you guys are telling me is that the primacy and the offensive awareness ratings have no effect on the human player whatsoever. Because Garrity can have a 0 for offensive awareness and i can control him and have him shoot 50 percent of the teams shots.

Nope not at all, how can primacy affect the user? They can't make you not pass to someone lol.
I think something that should be added next year is chemistry, so let's say you have Orlando, and you use Garrity a lot, the other players who have high primacy ratings will get angry because they aren't getting their shots, and this will cause a temporary ratings decrease in them, and if you don't give them shots still they'll ask for a trade. Kinda like Madden's thing.
This will force you to give the right players the ball [in Dynasty]
