I want Live as much as the next guy but did anyone think this playtest could just be for new or updated features for Live Mobile? I'm not getting my hopes up yet.It's 'Sconnie not wiscy!!!!!Comment

If only that patch included...
+updated rosters, +an overhaul of player ratings and tendencies, +thousands of new animations to smooth the game out and add more signature flavor, +a revamped post game we can actually control, +added depth, realism, and complete control over all options in Dynasty mode(this is a must and it's sad, this mode is almost unplayable as is - and allow us to have multiple users), ability to edit rosters/ratings/player likeness globally like in Live '09(or '08?), ability to create players, edit playbooks, manage draft classes, etc etc etc. I'd be a happy dude. I want this series to succeed so bad.
With those editing tools, who knows what Playmakers or Tomba could have pulled off with this years version. Playmakers literally made Live 06 on xbox 360 a playable game by himself. And that sh!t was awful at release, lol. Same goes for the later iterations on last gen consoles. From the Live 07 disaster, EA made great strides with 08,09 and finally Live '10 was an absolute blast with a lot of authenticity. It looked like the future of hoops gaming was very bright with consumers having two choices. And then you just had to run Beluba out of town where he then made a serious mark in bball simulation over at 2K.
It's no coincidence that the following year 2K released their best hoops sim to date. 2K needs Live as well. Perhaps it would snap them back to reality and produce a true sim, not a game where everyone plays just to see LeBron dunk or their face on a billboard. Maybe it'll make them reconsider their approach *cough*proam/mypark/mycareer/"masking" online exploits while ruining offline gameplay/*cough*
Competition makes everyone better. Unfortunately, it seems EA may not be able to handle the pressure. So what, 2K is top dog now, but what about 10 years ago? Demand will always be dynamic. There are plenty of people out there who would love get back on this bandwagon. We KNOW EA has the resources. Find the passionate sim heads who still believe in this franchise and let's get NBA Live back.
