Re: Live Fandom
I got my start with Dr. J vs. Larry Bird One-On-One on the Atari 7800, but the Genesis era really hooked me. Bulls vs. Blazers will always hold a special place in my heart, as that's the game my parents picked up for me, along with the Genesis console. I had just suffered a broken collarbone during a basketball game and would wind up missing the rest of the season, so to get that gift two weeks before Christmas definitely helped take my mind off the injury.
Live 95 was amazing, and heck, it's still fun to play today. Live 98 I sunk a lot of hours into as well. Live 2005 was the last game I played in the series until Live 10, which really surprised me in a good way. I played a ton of Live 10, and still play a game from time to time.
Really sad that momentum from 10 was for naught. I feel like the series is taking strides forward, though. Live 15 wasn't bad and 16 is fun.
