Re: Little live 17 interview
So we've gone from a possible full game release to a potential demo?
Is it really that hard for them to tell us what actual product will be released?
This makes me assume they don't even know what their plans are for the series moving forward right now.....

Re: Little live 17 interview
Does that mean anything. One thing I've learned since being involved with the game, is that nothing happens on a whim, or spur of the moment.
Do I want my NDA to be up so I can talk? You bet. Do I want EA to give some information on what's coming? Yep. Is the lack of information indicative of the status of the game? Nope. It's all predetermined.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Little live 17 interview
Actually, when it comes to NBA Live, the lack of information has meant problems more than once in the past. But we'll just have to wait and see. I still think that they are better off releasing the game in the fall, and go back to a yearly cycle (unless they are planning on bi-yearly cycles).
All I want to know if how much of this game is based on Live 15/16. Or is it something built almost comletely from the ground up (if that's even possible in a year and a half). My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: Little live 17 interview
Oh I agree, but they basically have said all the year is keep your eyes tuned for something new and exciting. It's not a matter of changing their plan within the past month or two.
They've got some cool stuff to get out there. I wish I could talk about their direction, and where things are headed but unfortunately I cant. You all will know though, once they announced a few things.Twitter - WTF_OS

And I'm not certain there's any benefit to ea releasing 2 basketball games 6 months apart. If I'm them and confident in my product to release it in the first place, I'd better feel like I just sold you the only basketball game you'll need for the next year. Add to that, I know there's no benefit to release head to head against 2k. We could all love the live franchise, but gotta be honest the reputation is in the dumps right now and a head to head with a game that charts top 10 in game sales monthly pretty much year round (at least for ps4 anyways) isn't wise for a franchise on the ropes.
And I do believe it has to be a full experience, because they've been guilty of delivering half baked products. Even If they're releasing something for free I can't imagine that even going over well, because I'm not sure it'll have the necessary depth of game modes, or depth within the game modes, they need to attract the variety of players there are now. Do they alienate my player gamers? Franchise mode gamers? Online players? And how deep do these game modes go for free? People are cynical and are waiting to clown and complain about something, and releasing something for free will come with its concessions.
NBA live is in a weird predicament, and I do think they need to say something. People are already drawing their own conclusions and that's a problem because the game has no details or even rumors really to build on, just skepticism from the franchise's past failures. I can respect and appreciate ea taking the more humble approach that they're gonna walk the walk instead of talk the talk but Ea needs to get a hold of the narrative and control it themselves.Comment

Re: Little live 17 interview
I remember every year the last several years, I would see a real-life size cutout of the other game's cover boy at the EB Games stores, some time before release. Also banners, and other little things as well. There seems to be so much mare awareness for the other game, it's just being promoted so much better. With NBA Live it looks more like it's just another sport game they have to release to complete their sport lineup, there has been very little done to create excitement, it's all so gray-ish...no colors, so blend.
Actually it got to the point that the only exciting thing has become to guess if they game is being released or not. Basketball is a major global sport and the NBA is the king of all basketball leagues, but the excitement NBA Live generates is so little, it's like they have been trying their best not to push this game too hard.My Specs:

1) Are you WTFERRELL on the EA forums lol???
2) Here's where things get interesting: ARE YOU CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO AT LEAST SAY THAT NBA LIVE 17 will in fact RELEASE QUARTER 1 fiscal as were all wondering??? There's no reason for me to give you a scale from 1 to 10 but if you feel that could work, please answer us... Your an GAMECHANGER and we do respect EA's NDA and the legendary OS member " WTF " but this wouldn't hurt your reputation one bit.... DO YOU BELIEVE THAT IT WILL RELEASE BETWEEN NOW AND MARCH??? Thank you sir...Comment

2) I'll give you a 10/10 on the first quarter release (again, my thoughts). I think guys will be surprised as to what path the series is taking. Pretty cool stuff.Twitter - WTF_OS
