CPU shoots immediately - no set play!!

This is so annoying. Year after year EA Sports comes up with the same crap. Especially point guards, shooting guards and small forwards are always trying to create something immediately after getting the ball. I lowered the primacy to 0 but nothing helps.

This COULD be a great basketball game, but the CPU is playing like an idiot. Maybe there is a possibility to change something in the teams database to make the CPU play more patient. Maybe?

    1. The CPU in Live 2005 is the best ever in a basketball game.
    2. FOr me the CPU never seems to shoot before 10 seconds in

It's not an issue of using the shot clock. It's more that every time a player (especially PG,SG,SF) gets the ball he immediately starts an action (shoot or drive). I hardly ever see them waiting for a play to develop. Catch - shoot or drive.

Not having the same problem, I've been playing on 12 minutes on superstar, and the AI is only averaging about 85 shots a game on me, don't know what to say. This game is very good CPU vs Human.

Maybe i was misunderstood. PG,SG,SF are forcing the action no matter how low i set the primacy. Yesterday i played the Hornets. No problem if Baron Davis takes the ball and creates something. But every other player who is getting the ball outside the 3-Point line is shooting or driving to the basket. It's one-on-one no matter who low the ratings of the player are. George Lynch isn't really a go-to-guy - is he? If he gets the ball outside he never waits to see if another guy is open - he is throwing up many three-balls and driving to the basket. I mean there are certain guys who should take open jumpers and drive to the basket if there is an open lane. But in the game it seems to be that every PG,SG and SF is determined to make the bucket - no matter how low i set the primacy.

I have to agree with everyone else.

I'm having no problem at all with how teams are playing and who's scoring.

In the past 3 games, I've even had it where the CPU shotclock has buzzed out.

Are you sure you bought NBA Live 2005? Sure you're not playing on Starter? Sure your slider setting isnt on action instead on simulation?

Lol, ok sorry. I don't know dude, but I feel for ya. I love the AI this year.
