Re: In NBA Live 14 or 15 there is the ability to edit the rosters?

Just got myself Live 15 again. I love the graphics, it's so pretty. Physics are nice and presentation is still good. I just need to get better with the midrange/3-point shooting, but with time I will. I think that plays run a bit slow in this game, but I can deal with it. I wish they made the scoreboard smaller and pushed it in the the lower corner, it shouldn't take so much of the screen (or they could let us choose between a regular or mini scoreboards).

I really wish the baseline cams had a little bit of zoom-in into the paint, which is why I don't use them. My go-to camera is EA Broadcast, since it's closer to the action than some of the ESPN cams. I prefer to be closer to the action when I control the players, and use ESPN if I just let the CPU play against itself.

I haven't played Live 16, but watched a lot of gameplay videos. What amazes me is that Live 15 is so much like Live 09, and Live 16 is so much like Live 10. Even graphically - Live 15's colors aren't as saturated as Live 16's, and even the skin tones and overall graphics of Live 16 are really Live 10'ish compared to Live 15 (Live 09). It's amazing how this scenario from the last generation repeats again. Very interesting.

My game is probably using the last roster update that still exists when you connect to the server. I played vs the Rockets yesterday. Can anyone tell me where is Dwight Howard? I need to check the roster screen, because he didn't play. Wasn't he a Rocket back then?

Re: In NBA Live 14 or 15 there is the ability to edit the rosters?

So since I like going back and play older basketball games, I decided to go back and play some Live 14. One thing that game had over other Live's is the AI. CPU players play so well, move the ball so well and take so many realistic shots, that it's just so sad this game didn't get more polish in other areas.

If you get over the horrible graphics/animations/physics - this game plays FANTASTIC basketball. If you set you defensive settings right for each player and stop the CPU from going to the basket (which is totally possible), you would get a TON of midrange/3pt shots. The CPU moves the ball so well, that it bugs me why Live 15's AI was so bad. If CourtQ worked so well for Live 14, what happened in 15?

In Live 15 90% of the time the CPU goes for a dunk/layup. If Live 14 had Live 15's graphics and physics, it would have been the best Live (but that's an impossible scenario since EA tend to make one area of the game great, and ruin others).

Based on my 7 season games with the Mavs (12-min quarters), I can honestly say that Live 14 had amazing CPU basketball logic and spacing. I don't understand why Live 15 played so much worse AI-wise. CPU Ball movement in 15 was so mediocre, so unrealistic...it bugs me when EA is on to something, and then they regress. It's almost like in order to implement better graphics and physics after 14, they had to throw away the "brain" of the game.

I didn't know you could do that I'm about to cop me NBA Live 15 and I heard it has better animations than NBA Live 16.

In Live 15, Can you change lineups for all teams in Dynasty Mode? I think by default Dwight Howard is on the 13th/14th spot, and I don't think the CPU makes any changes to active players (unless I'm wrong).

I have not played Live 16, but from all gameplay videos I have watched, I think it has better animations than 15. Live 16 looks smoother as well, and flows better. Plus it has sliders, which help avoid the horrible jumpshot logic from 15. Surprisingly, I still think Live 14 had the best AI out of all 3 games, it's just that because of bad physics it was hard to take advantage of it. But it was all there, the AI played much more realistically than 15, in my opinion. Much better ball movement and midrange jumpers. A much more dynamic game.

NBA Live 16 players played floaty to me personally and the animations were herky jerky with no ball tangibility so players hands were glued to the ball which I like to call it yo yo dribbling.

Re: In NBA Live 14 or 15 there is the ability to edit the rosters?

Oh yeah...the floatiness...Live 15 has that too, or at least that's what I'm feeling while playing it. And to me, shooting jumpers felt much better in 14, even with the quick release. In 15 it's just weird, and if you take an off-balance jumper (which is pretty much any jumper where you move even only 1/8"), your player just floats sideways in the air - without even jumping high. It's like he glides 10 inches above ground for a little while and you get an ugly shooting animation with an impossible release point.

They should have taken 14, add the collision system, add nicer animations, but keep the same smooth feeling - and improve the running animations look/speed. I don't know what they did, but 15 feels pretty bad. Love the graphics, but all the rest is weird. I thought I would enjoy it much more, but just can't get into it. It's a very strange game.

When I play 14, I am able to move the ball so much better (and so does the CPU) - even with the sub-par passing system, you can have great ball movement that leads to open 3's/midrange/back door opportunities. I'm finding it nearly impossible to do it in 15. Midrange doesn't exist because there is always someone out there, and the shooting system doesn't allow you to make shots like an NBA player. It's almost like on every jumper you have 90% chance to get fouled (there are way too many shooting fouls/almost fouls - which is very unrealistic). They took something that worked - and broke it. I will never understand how 15's shooting is supposed to feel better. But that's me.

I start the dynasty vs Thunder and the starting five are ok :-) with Oladipo on Sg

Is really easy with override transaction you can update the roster except for the rookie
