    Cap Space

I noticed something strange. I had about 4M in cap space so i could only sign a mid level player. But in the free agent list Ben Wallace (11M) and Francis (8-9M) were available. Every team was over the Cap. So, I get to the last day of the free agent signing and I see that both guys were signed for their asking price and their teams are way over the Cap. It seems that the CPU can go over the cap but we can't. I doubt this is a mid level excpetion.

was it to different teams or their old teams? teams can go over the cap to RE-SIGN their players.

It was new teams and it was after the resigning period.

Only guess is that EA did this to prevent last year's fiasco.
