i'm giving up on SuperStar level!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean just like all-madden, the comebacks, the rating level (meaning your high rated players getting crushed by lower rated players,) a sick amount of threes, and the freestyle is unbelievable! jason williams of memphis is the next curly neal of the harlem globetrotters in this game, i mean i feel like i'm playing with the guys on the and 1 tour at rucker park, instead of the nba. they (cpu) throw you around under the basket and dunk on you with virtually no challenge at all, double-teaming works for them, for me no way. at least i haven't seen it, the defense is a another story as well, nuff said, i going back to all-star level, who has challenging, but realistic all-star sliders where these guys dont shoot over 50% in every nba game. which is not the nba anyway.. i mean the ny press went nuts that the knicks shot 50% from the field against the clippers the other nite, that proves my theory on fg % sjj2xs........................

Ive never seen a CPU team shoot above 50% on Superstar yet. Are you sure youre using the right sliders?

Hmm, while I'm getting crushed on All-Star Level (well, not crushed, but manhandled) I have never seen the CPU shoot 50% and all of my sliders are set at factory settings with the exception of free throw difficulty, fatigue, and fouls, all of which were raised.

In fact, just yesterday (just my 8th or so game) the CPU shot 38% from the field. I've seen 38, 48, 44, etc., but never 50 and I'm playing on All-Star and losing by double digits time and time again.

seriously? and your using default settings on all-star level and seeing 38, 48, 44, by the cpu, that's cool by are they taking a ton of shots? and what are you shooting on all-star level? i'm using pared's on all star level and i shoot 50% or above, and that's not right either, i'm looking for balance and occasional good shooting perfomance, that's real nba. i'm really trying to enjoy the game and just cant find a happy medium, i'm pretty close to running out and buying espn, and scrapping ea all-together. dont want to, been a fan of ea 4-ever, just looking for the motto in the game.......(lol)......sjj2xs

I play 12 minute quarters (don't know if I made that clear beforehand).

Anyway, shots are at about 80 a game. I would have to double check for the exact number, but I know it's somewhere between 80-90. Maybe a bit high, but I'm trying to mess around with the Game Speed and I also need to keep telling myself to slow things down even when I'm down early in the 2nd quarter. One of the reasons why I'm losing every game is because I get worried when the CPU goes up by 2 and there's still 11 minutes left in the second. Anyway, side tracked a bit there

I'm being serious about the shooting percentages. The shooting percentages are about the same for me. I have had quarters in which I shoot 50% (CPU the same), but once the game is said and done, both of us are somewhere in the mid-to-low 40's.

Now, maybe my shooting percentage will go up the more I play, but I can always lower my shooting sliders to offset anything I learn to do.

My confusion lies in defense. You say that the CPU shoots over 50% all the time. Trust me I'm confused. I'm not saying you are lying, but I"m confused about myself because I'm losing all the time, I give up 90+ points, about 80 shots, and the CPU still shoots about 40 something %. I can't explain it because I'm only going to get better on defense and will probably see the CPU's shooting percentage go down with time.

it probably cuz i play bad d, on my initial opening thread on d underneath the hoop, my players get thrown around, and if the cpu misses, my players just stand around or dont go after the rebound as hard as the cpu does.(even if the cpu and user rebound sliders are the same) and the freestyle for cpu is unbelievable, if i go for a steal, i either foul the guy or i'm left in the dust, and i've never seen somebody double team a cpu guy underneath the basket if he delays his shot going up, (but they do it no problem even on the perimeter) did you read that letter about ea sports overworking employees? that scares me dude, my feeling is the same engine as last year with some minor tweaks just to cover up glitches that were there last year, package it and sell it for 49.99, this is why i'm leaning toward going out and buying espn, it seems like every year ea sports does this, not just with nba live or sports titles as well. either that or the testers have no clue how a nba game is played...........lol sjj2xs

dude i'm just saying we shouldnt be spending hrs upon hrs tweaking and trying to find the perfect game, it should be there automatically specially for the price of ea sports game, the sliders should be their to tweak the game to OUR specific likes and dislikes, not try to find a solution to make the game more tolerable and realistic................just a thought...........sjj2xs

dude i'm just saying we shouldnt be spending hrs upon hrs tweaking and trying to find the perfect game, it should be there automatically specially for the price of ea sports game, the sliders should be their to tweak the game to OUR specific likes and dislikes, not try to find a solution to make the game more tolerable and realistic................just a thought...........sjj2xs
