1st let me say that im that guy that buys ALL the lives maddens&nba 2ks. Mostly out of nostalgia as far as live goes...i havent touched it since like week 2 because of the limitations they've placed on themselves or should i say on me. I'll end up grabbin it around Christmas when its dirt cheap($20-$10) but im sure it wont get much burn from me.

If there's no editing, there will be no chance for customized rosters at all.

Wasnt tbis confirmed earlier today? If so its just dissapointing...

I think that EA needs to realize that its not just the hardcore guys digging in and reshaping every attribute that want the ability to manage rosters...

Some people want to do something as simple as throwing Paul George on the Cavaliers and seeing how they fare against the Warriors in a quick game, throw an arm sleeve on their favorite player, make some roster changes that Synergy is 2-3 weeks late on...which is a very real possibility...

From my understanding it wasn't confirmed yet. Seems like when they were asked about it directly they said they were "working on it". Seems obvious that it's not in the game right now, but they may work it in a patch day one, or possibly later. That's sort of what I got out of people's comments I've read.

                    I voted no.

The 5 on 5 play looks intriguing, but I'm a franchise only player and I've been extremely spoiled over the past decade or so. I need certain things when it comes to getting immersed in a franchise, some things like custom draft classes I might could pass on if the gameplay and other parts of franchise were really good. However, player creation and player editing are sticking points for me and if they're not in, then I'll just wait until the game available on EA Acess.... and even then it won't get very much play time from me, probably just Play Now games every now and then.

Re: Will You buy NBA Live 18 IF it doesnt have Roster Editing(Editing Players) Option

I had to vote "No." If there is no roster editing in the game, then there's no buy from me. As intrigued as I am about Live and as much as I want to support competition, I will not willingly support inferior competition that's hasn't put out a game in nearly two years.

Nearly two years of development time on a title that's supposed to be annual, and they can't get a basic feature like roster editing in? Unacceptable.

I'm a diehard franchise guy -- online play has no appeal to me as far as sports titles go. I can't trust EA and whatever they determine as the proper rating for players; I don't do that with 2K. Both franchises have issues with tendencies/ratings/contracts/accessories that the development team has been unable to catch.

2K, at least, gives the community a wide-ranging set of tools to customize things to their liking and correct the mistakes they find.

If EA is unwilling or unable to give even a basic set of those tools, then that's a problem. Whatever else EA can offer, a complete lack of roster editing after two years off the market is ridiculous. Games dating back last century had basic roster editing features.

This is 2017, not 1987. EA needs to get with the times if they want to see my hard-earned dollars.
                      Any comments are welcome.

Madden and NHL both have roster editing and a sharing feature. This is the 4th live on next gen it's really unacceptable at this point

Negative. I have my complaints about 2k but I'm completely done with EA I don't think I will ever buy a game that they make again.

Would be disappointing but not a deal breaker

Yes. Gameplay looks great and we need another good game. 2k has gone to ****.
