Disappointing... I want Live to be great (grew up playing NBA Live), but they're making it difficult.
I agree completely with you. How can they not figure out basic roster editing for the game? NBA LIVE devs pretty much ignore the community as far as communication. The Madden Development team are constantly weighing in and communicating with the community. I see zero interaction from the Live team. I understand they can't speak on certain things but these boards have not been this active in years and I have yet to see any DEV drop in with insight or just say we hear you and are looking at it. By no means are they obligated to do so just seems like something that would be in the process of trying to build momentum for release.

16 wasn't unplayable but to each there own, I'm all for roster editing all I use to do in 5-10 as much as I would like to see it add this alone shouldn't be a reason you say how I can't edit roster I won't get it. Has to be more behind it. But you made a post about player move so we know your interest is already exiting the door this just added to it. Lol

It worries me a little if the one feature pretty much everyone wanted for years is missing. Makes me wonder what else might not be there.

I'll wait for this game to hit EA Access unless there are new developments

Go on Twitter and read Millineums impressions of the game. I'm sure he'll do a writeup of sorts for OS, but youre talking about a guy who hasn't enjoyed Live saying that he couldn't wait to get back each say and play Live. To me, that speaks volumes. And as much as I hate to admit, when you see the stats, outside of os which is a blip in the realm of consumers, editing is nowhere near the top of the list.

I despise the career modes, pro am, etc. But that's where the masses spend time. I'm old school and have argued time and time again that We the people NEED editing for the game to succeed. Trust me, I'm the world's biggest advocate and the loudest mouth for editing and franchise modes. Us OS dinosaurs are not the current trend in video games though.

With that said, thankfully there are quite a few devs who are like us. It is on the priority list. The game is improving substantially and imho deserves all of the support in the world.

i voted yes because i will support this game and it will get better with time especially with competition. i'm sure the devs have this on their "to do list"
ive never been big on customizing anyways i usually set up a franchise mode draft if i want to mess around with a fantasy team.

Firstly, thanks for going to bat for us franchise guys. It's good to hear there's a voice making that segment of the player base heard.

I'm also happy to hear the devs are aware of the request for editing and that it's on their priority list. If Live gets that feature -- in whatever form -- I'll buy in. I want competition back in the market (it's good, IMO), but without the ability to edit players and customize things how I like it, I wouldn't play the game.

If they can patch it in this year, I'll pick it up for sure.

I have to disagree with roster editing not a trend as some Rosters on Xbox and Playstation get over ONE MILLION downloads, per roster. I have done rosters for whole online leagues myself on a couple occassions. So while I understand all the young kids are on social media, there is still a large audience who USE custom rosters. They may not all create them but they download them.

NBA LIVE 16 had the Pro Am which was directed at the younger generation and sales tanked. There has to be a happy medium. Roster Customization SHOULD have been a priority. It was pretty to simple to see When 2K took over Live and that was with customization. It definitely is not their Server stability. Lol

I am glad we have you go to the events and represent us, I know you do all you can and I really appreciate it.

Edit: Remember trading players is considered part of roster editing, so when trades are made and you have to wait weeks to get an update, NO COMPLAINING. LOL

I can live without roster edits. It will.come down to how dynamic the one mode is for me. If that has more layers then they have given I'll buy it if it's simply pick a team and playing games I'll pass.

I really really hope the logic for not including something that has been in every bball game (dare I say every 4 major sporting game) since 2000 isnt "The kids online dont care about it"....that just doesnt make much sense to me...its a fundamental feature...

Even with that, FranchisePlays fantasy rosters/ creations/ match ups get thousands of views...and hes not even the biggest YouTuber that does them...

No so much as it's not important, but I think moreso less important than the revenue generating modes. They're well aware of our wants though. My taped interview raised eyebrows, lol.

As bad as sales as been you would think the goal would be to attract as many people as possible to buy the game. Hard to generate revenue when no one is buying the game. Look at the revenue the other game brings in by offering features for all. I just can't wrap my head around a 2 year development cycle and still leave out a basic element of sports gaming.

I'm definitely on board in buying the game and I don't really care for roster/player editing, but I still feel for my fellow sports gamers who want those features. This has been a common theme with NBA Live in not providing Roster editing and that's not cool.

If EA really cares about sales, perception and wanting to succeed, they must have Roster/Player Editing on Day 1 or in a future update. It needs to be in the game. Editing was established in the mid/late 90's and should follow suite even in the year 2017. Hope the development team can bring these features for the Live community. They deserve it.

My frustration with this game is always having to wait, like when you think about it since Live 10 all we have done is wait for this or wait for that from Live, they cancel games and push back games and the outcome is still "we are working on that or that is something we plan on putting in the game in the future. For all the waiting and time this game has taken to get things right it's still pretty bare bone compared to the competition who have yet to take anytime off.

You can pretty much bet that whenever they add the frostbite engine we will get even more be patient guys excuses like "well guys because of the new engine we still are working out a way to get this or that into the game. I want competition in sports gaming but it's like Live is just competing with a single aspect of 2k and thats there myplayer mode everything else is on the back burner it seems.
