Don't take what some youtuber says as gospel. EA knows their audience. They know plenty of people play franchise mode.

And I believe they even brought over people from Madden to work on it.

It's probably not gonna be as deep as we all want it to be this year, but whether we like it or not this is another reboot for this franchise.

I don't frequent these forums often, so i'm not familar with your work, but i see that you write for SGO -- I hope you are right RE: franchise mode. And, if you have any info on whether or not 18 will have roster & player editing, please do share.

Unfortunately I have no info on roster or player editing. But I will certainly let you and everyone know if I find anything out.

EDIT 2: More proof. I think Live 18 will be fine. If not, an incoming patch. It may explain the delay since the initial gameplay had old jerseys and players weren't trade at the time

Live will have all of the new unis. Also, the info will be dropping soon. It may not be this week, but soon you all should have a barrage of info, and a shiny new demo to play for yourself.

I hate the marketing, but alas, I have no say in anything like that. As a marketing major, I feel they miss the boat on things like that.

i was thinking they probably have a bunch more information but it will come with the announcemnet of the demo date and release date for the full game.

Yeah, I can't imagine Nike letting the NBA let EA ship a game with Adidas jerseys in it. Nike cares about their brand, and there would be hell to pay if Live doesn't have the Nike jerseys

I loved the evident improvements on animations and the few things that have been revealed, demo cant come soon enough as I have the feeling this will be a solid foundation to build Live from ...

Having said that, the excitement has definitively fell down, pairing the lack of info with the release of the competetition latest franchise blog, as well seeing those screenshots coupled with the almost certaintly lack of deep customization and roster editing from Live, it isnt helping any bit.

Hopefully the make my mind change, but as of now, I am leaning towards only buying it after price drop from 45. Some weeks back, I had somewhat of an itch, now, almost none.

This is a big deal to me, as well. It was a dealbreaker for me in 2015 so I skipped Live 16, and it also was when Live 18 was first announced without any declaration of player/roster editing.

But after buying Live 16 for $10 last month, I've found it to be a really fun game regardless. Obviously not as refined or accurate as 2k but just good fun nevertheless. I really hope (pray) it is in the game, but as long as the demo doesn't bomb, I see myself purchasing the game.
