If the demo comes out halfway into the month then it makes perfect sense to start talking about it on 1 August 2017. Too bad they're not in Australian timezones haha

It's just weird because it's blatantly obvious they're fighting a battle they can't win. Maybe next year or the one after. But in the time they've been failing and cancelling games 2k has cornered the market. It takes consecutive great games to pull that back, not one.

I just figured the smart move would be to release it about 4 weeks before 2k when the hype is fresh in minds and people are itching to play a basketball video game.

Regardless, kudos to them for being ballsy. Got to respect that. Hope it works out in the long run.

And "according to many here" means nothing. Nobody here knows any more than we do. It just random nobodies on the internet. So excuse me but their "confirmed date" is B.S until the company itself actually confirms it.

The demo is supposedly 11 days away. And I can't wait to get my hands on it. But... It's still weird to me it's not on their site or the PS store anywhere. Expecting to hear some more about it within the next couple of days.

I loved the February release date before it was delayed because it would have given us ample time to play it until you decide to get 2K but nope, they just have to compete. They need to get this series back on track and focus on tangibles not trying to outsell 2K. Don't put the cart before the horse!

I would rather they release a complete game rather than trying to rush it out the door, especially knowing that 2k has the market. If they release a half-finished product, the Live series is done for good. Even if they don't sell as many copies because they release alongside 2k, a better reviewed game will set them up for next year.

They need to focus on the quality of the game over all else, which is what it seems like they're doing.

I hope the silence is a good thing because this game has the potential to be special for basketball enthusiasts. I wish more things would be more secretive because it builds anticipation. 2 movies in particular that have been quiet are The Dark Tower and The Last Jedi, most people are freaking out b/c not much has been revealed. That builds my anticipation but as many have stated with Live that can be a debacle waiting

I think the big difference is that the Star Wars movies are pretty consistently good.

Rush a game out that is crap,just to sell copies before 2k releases theirs,like I said that's LIVE suicide.

EA did the 100% right thing,by delaying it and polishing it up. This is their last chance, they must build a solid foundation.

2k may be better,but you forget how many NBA LIVE fans out there.

I don't think anyone is expecting a 9/10 or 10/10.. 8 is fine,and BUILD every year from there.

Hopefully they release the demo on the 11th,and you guys can come here and tell me how great it is,because I don't own a console.
