    The One limitations

I'm really excited for The One game mode, but I do feel like they've created some unnecessary limitations. Let's say you want to create Michael Porter Jr. - he's 6'10 (and may grow to 6'11), versatile player that was invited to Curry's all-guard camp. So either you make him a Board and Fire guy and try to develop his agility / dribbling etc over time or you have to make him a shorter 6'9 Hybrid Wing.

This is just an example, but Lonzo would be another. He's a 6'6 (but you'd have to make him 6'5) PG that would prob have the Point and Shoot playstyle.

    Thoughts?

Lonzo would definitely be the more pass first pg archetype. But I don't think 1 inch would make a big difference. A lot of NBA players lie about their height anyway

they have to put some sort of limitations, otherwise you end up with everyone making 7ft point PGs. i think the hardest thing to accomplish with these "player locked" modes is giving us full customization as well as providing balance within the community.

if they give us too much customization, we'll look for a way to cheese it as a community (i hate it too, but its true). at the same time we all want our player to be what we want them to be. hard to accomplish.

Ya I definitely agree with that - I guess I'd like to look at existing players in the NBA for guidelines. Livingston is a 6'7 PG, Lonzo 6'6. Durant is a 6'10/6'11 SF. I think they even list Giannis on Playstyle as Hybrid - dumb! He's 6'11 and the max is 6'9. That's my point...use boundaries based on real players.

I like the limitations honestly. It kinda forces people to work together because we all can't be the best at everything. I may be good at rebounding and my teammate could have good passing skills so I know who to dish to on the break.

I also hope the limitations will be there. Takes the real ness out of the game if everyone is making a 7-footer as a PG.

For those who played live 16, can't you get every attribute to 99?

I believe he was referring to the cap height/positions.

I thought the funnest thing about NBA 2k11 back in the day was the absence of limitations, even though you would get killed online ha. I prefer lax limits

Ya height/weight/position - Durant breaks this easily too. Several players do.

I really only see Greek Freak and KD, but those guys are rare specimens. Something rare shouldn't be seen as a common theme. I don't mind the restrictions because then everyone is going to make that build and we will have 7 foot guys with speed and the ability to shoot. It's not realistic and I see why they capped it.

Look at it now, dudes already choose the biggest body type available, last thing I wanna see is a court full of 7'0" mutants shooting 3s
