No. It was FIFA last year and Madden this year. Live and other EA sports titles will eventually make that switch. Hopefully next year

PGA was the first to make the jump to Frostbite and I could have sworn NHL made the switch for this year too

I feel your pain man, but I don't think that was a main focus for them the last 2 years. I think they wanted to build a strong foundation first with gameplay and modes. Visuals definitely were second. I think the visuals look beautiful this year, but that Frostbite engine is going to take it to another level with facial expressions, arena lighting, textures, stiffness solution and etc.


Frostbite Engine is more cosmetic than anything else. It gives an arena life and the atmosphere looks real. It doesn't necessarily improve the gameplay, but it makes the game look beautiful on all levels.

NHL is not switching to frostbite this year either.
