I saw a 99-98 OT game on All-Star (I think it was). So maybe on a lower difficulty? But that's a lot either way lol

I had this happen to me with Durant as well. He did a heat check about 10 feet behind the 3 point line and made it.

I am assuming that is an intentional addition to the game, which is really cool.

Errr. Why? Durant doesn't take shots that deep lol. He took 5 shots from beyond 30 feet last season. 3 of them were half court heaves at the buzzer. 1 was him attempting to flop for a shooting foul that he didn't get. I don't really like that they're taking shots so far off, and I definitely don't like that they're making them.

Agreed it is a nice addition and makes the game more fun while still maintaining the illusion of real life
          Spoiler

This game is just fun to play

Edit... Oh and regarding commentary, I really like it. It's all about the game, the announcers are not annoying and I don't get a stoic history lesson in all the players recent career. It keeps me in the game and is not boring. Could always use more and more lines but for a demo it is pretty damned good as is all the presentation in general

Eh, doesn't bother me. Yes it's a bit unrealistic I suppose. And I can see why you or others wouldn't like it.

I have personally been called for charging about 8 times.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions

I like how the shot meter pops in live vs 2k. Also some of the animations and dunks just feel more organic and seem to have weight to them. Passing is a huge issue in this game though. So is iso basketball. There just are not enough animations to keep up with what is going on. Still a solid game though. I think 2k is more polished for what it is. The graphics might not pop as much but the graphics are cleaner, stadium ambience etc. Live has some animations that blow 2k out of the water though. Particularly during cut scenes player reactions are much better. Also like that i saw Lebron pull off that 2 handed block although a bit overdone. It seems to happen at least once a game.

The AI is that much more refined in 2k. In Live I still get in that mode of iso overly simplified basketball. Not that 2k is doign anything revolutionary but it's just rock solid for what it is. One thing in live does though are certain animations like steals are broken but feel really good when they are puleld off. I saw one animation at the top of the key where the defender cut through the defense and stole the ball. I The animation they had looked very realistic.

It's not currently in the plan for the final build, but consider it noted. Thanks for the feedback.

On higher difficulties the game is really a challenge, I love how when Im guarding KD or Curry I have to like REALLY be focused, I guess the same way the NBA players feel. The slightest bite on a hesitation they do sidestep and bang the jumper on me.

The atmosphere is just spot on. Just like the NBA Live 10 days, EA really nails the crowd reactions and the game atmosphere in such a way that you feel 2x more immersed in the action just because of it. The ESPN presentation package is something that was worth every penny EA spent on it as well. Both the announcers (which could definately use more lines), and the halftime/postgame, the CAMERA ANGLES!!!, the scoreboard...

                    I'm really impressed.
                    Thanks for the compliments.

Schwal, it seems like I can only reset my player one out of every ten or so tries. Here's an example of how the game was hanging after I tried to reset my player.
