I think we should make votes before contacting a developer or insider to tweak things personally. Could go either way with the brick walls, but would hate to see one guy spamming a developer for their own personal preference to change a good feature or something..

When I reply or post in here I will always try to respond in a manner of programming logic. no. i'm not a programmer. But I've been around enough programs, computers to know the basic fundamental logic behind any program. Which always comes back to IF, Then, or else, statements. then tossing in operators and's and or's a ton.

Like this brick wall thing how i responded a few posts above.

In addition. Not only should certain guys in the nba be known for this. But certain teams should have more brick walls than other teams. I still remember how shady the picks were under Coach Thibs when he was with boston. KG was not setting those illegal screens as a Twolve. Kendrick Perkins grew up as a celtic. so all he has ever known was hold em, and push off, move when setting screens. Yes its illegal. but if they dont call it, keep doing it. and Thibs does this stuff on purpose. He teaches his defenders to grab/hold away from the ref's side, so they wont get caught. Thibs isnt the only one doing that but he's the best coach at it. I bet my next check that Karl Towns will be setting a ton of moving picks come this season. you watch.

Logic for something like this would be.
Certain guys are brick wall guys(high percentage of brick walling someone.)

Certain instances can turn on a brick wall scenario even without being a brick wall guy but this will only occur once in a while (low percentage).

Certain teams are known for it from a coaching stand point. aka A Physical team. or a screening team where you see guys always get open after the screen. odds are they are moving /pushing/holding. So in that situation turn up the percentage odds on a brick wall occurring for anyone on said team. This will have that feel of realism when you play vs a nice finesse team then here you go playing a team thats about that brick wall life. lol. The games would be night and day. and make sure when guys keep getting caught on those screens it tires them out. enough so that its noticeable over the course of a full game no matter if its 5 mins or 12 min qtrs.

When creating these setups just make sure to give yourselves tuners. The more tuners you have in the end. the more you dont have to do actual programming work. now you can just tune it. a little to the left....ehhh a little to the right.
Appreciate all the feedback and the depth here. It's a new feature right now, but I like some of what you put there. Right now it's just a strength and weight difference. We should add for some players they should do it more often (which is why some created players have the brick wall trait which increases it).

Also, it's not explained anywhere, if you are using sprint and go into a screen, there is a bigger chance of getting knocked down. This bonus was probably too high, so it's lowered in a future update. This is probably why you see big guys get knocked down by little guys.

We try to take an overall look at all feedback from various outlets. We also play the game a lot right now and tweak and tune. This is one that has bothered us recently too and why we are adjusting it. Looking forward to feedback after the update.

Maybe that's why my buddy who has a point shooter was Brickwalling fowards . Thanks for that explanation . Have you guys done any testing with moving screens in live run ? Seems like you can kind of force brick wall that way .

what is your players weight? and strength(can you even see this yet?)

give us some video footage. So we can see how is the defender approaching the screen you're setting.

I bricked wall a few people in my early days of basketball when i was super thin(strong for my size). But that was usually when guys hit me right in the middle of my body, they were not paying attention, and they were moving pretty fast. Now if what you're saying is true. then it means perhaps EA forgot to implement a Run Thru Screen animation.

            Something like:
When defender is moving at a high rate of speed right at the pick setter, an pick setter's weight is not above X amt, and the pick setters strength is not above X amt. and the defender's weight is at X amt more than the pick setter. Then Run Thru the Screen. and Get called for that foul more times than not. like 85% of the time.

Really appreciate it, the communication and feedback are great to see.

I couldn't be more excited to see the final launch result as well, too much potential.

No fouls in live run, though it might be a good idea to add that one if it's still a real problem after this update.

sounds good. and truth is. I dont want you guys explaining everything to everyone out of the box. I love the fact that people are seeing strange things that are super realistic. the ball hitting guys in the head on accident yet the guy is reacting to the ball like that. no need to tell us about it. lets us find it and go
