I just wish one of these games get contest right. Does not have to be auto block when playing good defense. Hand up/contest animation and a miss is good for me. First thing I did was turn the blocks down.
The sound doesnt make it any better.
Kevin Love should not have 5 plus blocks in 5 minute quarters consistently. This is where 2 man contact animations come into play.
With that said, yes defense is amazing in Live 18. Everything needs a tweak in this game but this part shines.Comment

Yes I think we can all agree the sound of every block doesn't need to be an exploding volleyball sound.. These are little things though, I'm sure they'll get around to. Just funny because I have a near sub woofer for a speaker and if I just get my finger tips on a block, it'll still make the entire room shake.

That said, I'd like to see more animations and interactions. Feels like there are too many Dr. J reverse layups and too many shots getting swatted into the stands. I love the running hooks, I love the tip ins, I love a lot of the layups. I'd like to see more altered shot animations. That's the in between game. I feel like that could use more depth.
I love the core defense of this game. I feel like it has a lot of room for added depth, and that excites me.Comment

That clip definitely looked real. I swear I was thinking why did this dude post a clip of him at a Cavs game.

I do enjoy playing D in this game. Guarding Curry can be maddening at times....he has me jumping for no reason because I'm always anticipating the pull-up, only to see him blow past me for an easy layup. At times I feel like:

I like the way they dribble up and down the court
Just like I'm the King on the microphone so is Dr. J and Moses Malone"Comment

I'm used to past NBA games where the computer isn't really firing at will like the Warriors would in real life, usually the AI will pass it around first a bit, here if I'm not anticipating a shot it's going up. Pretty fun.
