This is sad.. This issue has been a live legacy issue going back dang near 8 yrs.. I remember this in Live 10. Ground up my ...

I never experienced this issue until NBA LIVE 16 early on!!! Neither online or offline in past titles... They patched it in 16 and that was the end of that!! Legacy issue? Nann.. I do remember blowing you out by 30 and making you quit in LIVE 14 or 15... Every time we matched up after that you'd take off Noshun!

I feel with this new update that it is better to time jump shots now while turning meter off.

Almost as if they tweaked the release to be more accurate to animation to top of jump.

Feels really rewarding to shoot with it off


Or maybe I'm just getting more used to it?

ive felt that way since release
the meter is too inconsistent for me (or im trash at using it &#128514 to use. i hit WAY more shots (set shots, and moving) when i turned the meter off.

I absolutely hate shot meters in any hoop game. It is totally useless, IMO.

Noo, that's not true man. I hit a lot of shots with yellow releaase in All-Star

I have hit so many early and late releases. This area should not be touched.

I hope EA doesn't make shooting easier.

On all-star with shooting sliders on 40, I can hit 50% with the Warriors.

Can't wait for retail to try really bad shooting teams and see what happens.

This is a funny post, not to take the thread off the tracks, but you never ever played me I can guarantee you that. Also you don't know your "Live" than, this is a legacy issue going back to PS3 days..

One thing that I noticed, if you play Cle vs Bos, you play in the Conference Semi Finals instead of the finals. Nice touch

i've seen a lot of good things that i like gameplay wise. but two things, god the commentary absolutely sucks sounds robotic, i cant listen to it for the entire season. also i cant hear the refs whistle, really low sounding whistle. other than that gameplay is solid so far.

Yeah, with the latest update the foul whistle is so low I can barely hear it if I even hear it most times. It wasn't like that before so I'm sure they'll fix it.

Gotta call you out on this on big dog lol!!! Those are situational mishaps.... That defender was clearly caught picking up the ball and found himself mixed on the switch... That's as realistic as it gets.. It's a ratings thing though unlike NBA 2K where that's natural..

Appreciate the two teams.

My gameplay impression is still heavily focused on the screen button being not as responsive or better words being not as precise and not as consistent as I would like. This actually hinders my ball movement and passing game. It's not as pretty as I could make it.

If the screen button remains intact as it currently is in this state. It's going to be extremely difficult for me run Live 18 for the entire year. I might preorder the game, but I honestly don't know how much playing time I'll put it. Because of the lack of automatic constant player movement, my ball movement game sort of suffers. I can definitely initiate teammate player movement, but it's simply not as free flowing like the Warriors or San Antonio Spurs ball. There's a finesse to the Warriors/Spurs offense and it's incredibly difficult to execute it with the screen button "lack of consistency response" in its current state.

If only there was a player specific screen button activation, it would make the offense a much more elegant flowing offense. Tap L1, icon above players' head, hold corresponding player icon to have them motion towards me to come set a screen. Or some type of mechanism to get my other teammates to come meet the ball. But even with the addition of this "other" mechanism, the screen button needs to be more responsive and we need to be able to consistently call teammates in the corner (far, far, far away) to come set a screen. The analog stick simply doesn't lock onto the highlighted player and buttons would be far more accurate/precise than the analog stick.

Yes, I've already tried a brand new controller. Same results, same experience.

Side Note: For NBA live 19. I would seriously consider implementing Fifa's change of direction immediate footplant technology.

Xbox one or PS4 with the screen button issue? I think I've noticed it on my Xbox , but on the ps it's all butter smooth

FYI I've played organized/systematic basketball so I know for a fact guys are directed to leave and stick that high 4-1 defense on an swift 1... I can also assume that the basketball minded dev intentionally let this stay.
