Guess the games metacritic score?

So reviews should be coming out soon. NBA live 16 got a 59 on metacritic. Considering 18 is looking to be a lot better what kind of score would you guess that this game will get? I am going to guess high 70's like a 78.

60s because most media didn't even play 16 and seemingly joined the sheep by simply saying it was trash based on the name.

Couldn't agree more with this statement. Not gonna lie I was one of the sheep for 16 and once I actually gave it a chance found a gem.

I'd guess mid 60s and 70 at the highest simply because I think critics have preconceived notions and also with the feature set lacking it will effect scores.

I think the game will be well received from a gameplay standpoint outside of some complaints about animation...I think many will find it accessible...

What will drive the scores down, is the lack of depth and features, some that have been standard in current sports games and have been for years. While it appears most dedicated Live fans are OK with that, its a legitimate criticism to be raised when reviewing the game.

It's about 10 better than Live 16, so 69 is my guess.

It does have some nice individual elements but it's not a total package yet.

For me, fun factor is 80's. But it will be lower 70's. But for them, that's huge progress.

7 is a good score. haha. You know they give other games like 9.5s tho. I never understood that. Those games aren't 9.5s. Seen games get 10s, it's like who paid you.

They just got a weird scale, it's like 7/70/3.5stars is the threshold of actually enjoying it. It's like school. 60s is terrible and under that is just for effect. That's why they gotta throw out tens cuz it's like 'no we mean it this time.'

Live 10 was in the 80s, tho, I think that was the gold standard Live game, at least of relatively recent age. If 18 gets 80s I'd be shocked. I'd also be shocked if it goes under 70. That's not playing it, just watching some vids and reading the hype.

My sources say it's gonna be low 70s.

Forbes just gave it a 6.7.

First off, unless it's an average I hate arbitrary scores. And second, this game is better than that in my opinion.

I'm gonna be reviewing on the PS4 Pro, this review was on Xbox. So I think there may be some differences there.

I still have to put some hours into the PS4 Pro version, which hopefully I will have tonight, but I'm pretty sure I will feel its better than that score.

It's definitely improving, probably 7/70/Mediocre

If they actually make a good dynasty mode next year I'll try to support it but I'm no longer supporting sports games without good franchise modes (madden included)

I said high 70's when I posted this but now I am going to say low 70's instead. The franchise mode looks to have no trades/injures and a bad sim engine. Those are all simple things that are a problem and going to keep the game from scoring what it could and most likely is why I am going to skip this game.

I'm an offline player and simple is okay for me. I guarantee more goodies for next year. But they clearly focused on game engine for 18. For me, smart move. Deep game modes Would not matter much if the game engine was poor
