    CPU trades in franchise

I want to purchase this but people have reported that the CPU does not initiate trades amongst itself or to human controlled teams. Will this be patched?

Absolutely no cpu trades in franchise. They sign and release players but they do not trade with each other or make trade offers to the user.

Did EA just forget to add this little tidbit in?

I can manage without it but it does cut down on immersion. [emoji853]

Let me ask this, is there no trades or is it how they've done trades? I tried last night as the Rockets to flip Anderson, a pick and someone else. Said I'd be negative and could not make. Tried another trade to look at getting Kevin Love as the Grizzlies. Put him for Gasol to test. Matches salaries perfect and said again I could not make the trade because I didn't have cap room. In testing you can't make a trade with negative cap. The game won't let you. That might be the problem.

don't know if this has been noted but in The One mode the cpu Does execute trades through the season. it's basically a franchise mode with control of only one player so I am sure this can be fixed...

btw, the One mode ks amazingly well done, love it very deep too

Try turning the salary cap off and see if it makes a difference. What is inconvenient is the cpu does not even have a counter offer that would make things easier to pull deals.

When you played the one league mode did you go with the default settings or customized your own.

I noticed this as well. I turned off salary cap just so I could do trades. I wonder if that's a possible work around. I'm not playing right now but someone should try a franchise and turn off salary cap and then sim a season and see if there are trades

i will keep checking to see if trades continue.

I turned off the salary cap, you can make trades, but simming the season, no trades. I'm pretty sure they're fixing it currently.

ok never mind...the ONLY trade the cpu made was the one where I picked a different team to play on after the draft

                          also
there is no salary cap setting in The One mode, trade deadline only and i have it on.

simulated a whole season in One so yea no random cpu trades on one either.
