I think you need to drop the difficulty further, I can win on all star as long as I play decent...if it were easier I'd win every time. I may be bumping my difficulty up higher if I keep winning on all star. Run plays, set up better shots and don't try to steal the ball all the time, the fouls will end up hurting you a lot.

I think you need to drop the difficulty further, I can win on all star as long as I play decent...if it were easier I'd win every time. I may be bumping my difficulty up higher if I keep winning on all star. Run plays, set up better shots and don't try to steal the ball all the time, the fouls will end up hurting you a lot.

Hmmm. Maybe I just need to get better. . Thanks for your input. To me cpu guys that are draining shots leftt and right shouldn't be. And I got an all star missing wide open 3s all the time. Irks me a bit

This game is all about getting hot early. Try getting 4 or 5 easy looks right from the start. If you miss a few tough shots to start the game, it's gonna be a long day. If you do start cold call a timeout, really slow the game down, run plays and work for a good shot. If you try and run and gun when your cold, it's over.

Nba live 16 was the same.

More than likely you need to just go into practice mode and work on your shot release timing. But in your defense the CPU does seem to hit a lot of questionable shots. You really have to mess around with the sliders to find a good balance when it comes to authentic NBA style gameplay.

Try....

Inside Shooting: 50
Med Shooting: 40
Three PT. Shooting: 30

(For both User & CPU)

This will mimic real life as inside shots have a higher % of going in verses a lower % 3pt shot..... in other words your chances of hitting should increase the closer you are to the basket.

EA has all the shooting on 50% which is not realistic at all. It shouldn't be just as easy to hit a 3 pointer as it is to do a layup....

Also try to turn the Shot Contest Impact slider up to maybe 60-70 this will allow your defense to have a greater effect on the CPU's shots. But you will still have to play great defense in order to see results. You'll have to work on playing good defense without fouling.... Also while on defense the LT button or (Left Trigger) is your best friend. It will help you stay in front of the person you are guarding. Remember the key to good defense is to just make the offense take the hardest shot possible. You're not going to stop the CPU from scoring all the time... but you can make their shots much harder.

I had the same issue as you and lowered the difficulty to rookie and used customized sliders to get the game to play exactly how I wanted.

No don't! The AI is good as it is. Why would you want a good game to be easy? Practice man and skill up.

I can understand the frustration but I think the difficulty levels are descent. I don't consider my self very special player & I am winning 4-1 on franchise with minessota default sliders , all star difficulty. 2 marginal wins ,2 easier & a loss by 20.

as suggested drop the difficulty or change your sliders so that you can score more and once you get better at scoring then drop your sliders - adjust the game to your skill level - I have the same issues at times with madden, but tweak the game until you feel its 1. enjoyable and 2. challenging all at once.
