Oh, and ... 2k bias, that's all i gotta say. Even in the preview of Live on this very site -- writer was talking about how there's no variations in player models. Really? Can you not see the difference between KD's model, Curry, and Klay? I stopped reading right there. I feel like 2k is in everybody's pockets. (Ironically, 2k has everybody in their back pockets, charging everyone VC for haircuts & ish.) But hey, apparently they revolutionizing things still, taking career modes to new levels...pffft.

Nah its Live bias. You SLA fans keep using 2k as a crutch to try to validate your arguments for why you like live, and never could talk about just Live. That's why Live is in the place its in now (2nd rate NBA). You can't let it stand on its own merit (shortcomings included).

I've said this years ago. Live fans want:
1. Chirp about having comp/choice of 2 NBA games
2. 2k fans to buy 2k and Live
3. Live fans will only buy Live (and maybe 2k)
4. Blame Live sales on 2k fans, saying they didn't give it a chance.

That's SLA mentality, rampant on these forums. But if Live had the customization and modes of 2k, you guys would all be Olympic gymnasts..

I don't know what an SLA mean but I think this is a hurtful comment and forgive me if I say I didn't learn anything positive out of your comments.

I myself am a 2K customer for years and this year also a LIVE customer and had both games.

I was a 2K snob for years, wouldn't even give Live 16 the time of the day because it was a peasant in my eyes. The VC got a bit much for me and was willing to try 2 Live 18 demo. I was so impressed, I completely threw off the 2k shackles and have loved every minute of my Live 18 experience so far. I am Live convert now and disappointed I didn't even try 16.

I will enjoy it for what it is this year and hopefully next year we get custom pro-am teams, court, jerseys and a few more modes & polish. The review scores are disappointing but in my eyes, what game gives me more fun and that's Live all day.

Yeah I hear it wasn't the best but if I went by just the reviews out for 18, I probably wouldn't give that a go either. Devs need serious applause for the demo they put out.

Reviewer didnt even mention 2k....even HE is attempting to let the game stand on its own....

80% of the threads in the forum has some kind of 2k confessional in it....even the picture thread...I don't get it. The game is OUT now...if it's everything you want in a basketball game, which by the Impressions thread it seems to be for most of you....why not talk about LIVE? It's baffling to me....you have a chance to build a brand new community here with Lives reemergence....and we're stuck on another game....

anyway.....I think it's a more than fair review from what he actually said....I dont get caught up in the number ratings....if you go back and listen to the 14 15 and 16 reviews....this is a big step forward.

The OS reviewer here was certainly ok with comparing it and admitted his like for 2k. I don't see any prob with stating preference and where you're coming from. It's the haters and bias superiority here towards Live fans that we've somehow created a safe space where Live can do no wrong. Just look at a majority of your posts 24. Sure you can say positive things but you have to add in that negative a majority of the time. For whatever reason if we don't add in something negative we are homers, ill informed and must face the wrath of Noshun

I like the game, it's a major step for the live team in the right direction. However, the score is exactly what I would have given the game. Its a fair score for this game. It extremely fun, but extremely barebones and lack features like roster editing we have been crying about for more than 4 years now. No excuse for that. But some you EA guys are the reason this game is in the condition its in. You praise the game no matter what. That's the problem. Praise them for what they are doing right, but its ok to criticize or offer constructive criticism in areas that need to be addressed.

This game is going to be night and day in a few months after all the tweaks. I've been complaining about mid range game since release and they have fix the issue.

Wish a dev would pop on and communicate a little better. Wonder if any of the initial reviews will get a second look at some point.

Then again I don't think modes will drastically change.

I don't understand what any of this has to do with anything...all I know is people were simply talking about IGNs review of the game...read back through the thread and tell me where it took a turn....its as simple as that and it doesn't have to happen...

As far as my posts, until I finish more than one H2H match theyll likely still circle me being irked about it..sorry I cant spin that one into a positive....but until then I'll keep enjoying Live Run with the guys from the forum...

Live deserves a better score, its a better then a 6.5 for sure.
