I don't have live,I'm on p.c but I can we that score being about what it is maybe at least a 7 because while many in depth modes are not there they also did NOT charge full price...

So basically if live doesn't screw up..keeps this foundation..adds the depth modes ..and keeps improving.?it will easily get a 8.5 if you can get a 6.5 without any fun long term game modes..6.5 isn't bad and if I was a live fan I'd be happy..because it almost guarantees..a big jump next year.

Now get on the P.C live,I want two basketball games!!!!

Nah its Live bias. You SLA fans keep using 2k as a crutch to try to validate your arguments for why you like live, and never could talk about just Live. That's why Live is in the place its in now (2nd rate NBA). You can't let it stand on its own merit (shortcomings included).

I've said this years ago. Live fans want:
1. Chirp about having comp/choice of 2 NBA games
2. 2k fans to buy 2k and Live
3. Live fans will only buy Live (and maybe 2k)
4. Blame Live sales on 2k fans, saying they didn't give it a chance.

That's SLA mentality, rampant on these forums. But if Live had the customization and modes of 2k, you guys would all be Olympic gymnasts..

I don't care either way. I want to enjoy both games. I like Live I like 2k. I agree with IGNs score completely.

That being said this is one of the worst posts I've ever seen on OS. You say the reason Live is in the shape it is because people can't just talk about Live? What does that even mean? The reason Live is where it is, is because EA made crappy games or didn't make any at all.

You came into a Live forum for tell Live fans not to talk about 2k which kinda makes you a hypocrite.

The crutch sentence made even less sense.

Point 1: uhhh who isn't happy to have more choices. People are always screaming for completion than lament people for having a preference. That goes for live and 2k fans.

2. I don't see this other than Live fans wishing more people gave Live a chance which I really don't see why that's a problem.

3. Never once have I seen this. 2k sales are pretty good so that coalition isn't doing very well.

4. Again Ive never seen this.

Considering how much is missing from the game, a sports game in 2017 from a giant company, 6.5 is fair. I give the game a 6 out of 10 myself.

yeah too many times i find myself just shutting the game down

easports did right by madden 18 this year though. that game made steps towards good things

I know some are upset..but I look at it his way..for us to love MADDEN for all those years..it WAS great,yes n t gen came along and Madden never quite caught up...this year seems to be the first real year it's 100%in the right direction..now they can BUILD opon this...

Same goes for LIVE, if LIVE was crap years ago no one would have bought it..fact it is we an amazing game..and between next gen and LIVE slacking off...they really hit rock bottom.. but only reason people expect greatness is because thse games were proven they can be made GREAT.

I find that a GOOD thing, Madden 18 very played going in a great direction...

NBA live same path,getting a solid foundation,now just I prove upon it...

Scores truly don't matter..if someone is a SIM person looking for a deep franchise mode,yes they would rate LIVE very low,but there's many factors... Is the game FUN? Yes,is the game headed in a good direction?

Honestly I don't play live because I'm on P.C and they don't think about us peasants lol..we start ll get FIFA though🍻

Really don't look at a score..it's meaningless..depends on what you currently want..some people give live slack..and that's fine..some say they had so long this needs more..that's true too...

I think about it as a movie, what you think is hilarious or great drama,I might think as boring..

Sometimes you just want to get away and have fun..maybe live fills that void.. some people DONT have all day and night to play and invest.

In my eyes I always considered live a REAL title but aimed at a different audience..LIVE always seemed ahead of presentation..and making you FEEL you're in control.. freestyle..the name itself kind of makes people THINK arcade...but in a way it was revolutionary..but in this world it's how you WORD it.

If people look closely.both titles are about headed in the same direction..which is great..because while I feel 2k is the best..I can easily see someone saying live is cheaper..doesn't rip you off with VC..and easier to get into..and has a great foundation..which is true too (this year going forward).

I jumped in here because when I saw this thread I was thinking man when are they going to release another fight night...because we need it... Badly..

A franchise that was great..most loved it... suddenly vanish,and give people UFC?

Live is a 7.5 at best. I gave it a 7. The lack of depth in franchise no roster edit. Ridiculous! This is a game to buy when its cheap. 6.5 may seem harsh to some but its not that far off.

Yup.. have to realize it's the 2018 version..just because it was on the sideline.doesnt mean you get a reason for leaving those mandatory things out..it's why I said great foundation..but hard to be called a great SIM. If your missing those in-depth modes.

Again,great foundation...really don't see why anyone would be upset..because LIVE has nothing but upside ahead of it..(took a long time) but they're getting there.

Yes! Gameplay wise the game should be highly rated.
With the right fundamentals and basketball instinct, you can get the best out of the gameplay and make it look real good.

I think it deserves a 7 because of foundation. I am not mad at an almost 7 because I think they want to say its bare bones, but what it does, it does pretty well.

I thought inside scoring was too easy until I finally got the secondary trait blocking, now I can kill dudes shots all of the time. Like in (other games) you can jump and block someone being nowhere near the ball, but in Live, you gotta be somewhat in the right spot, you don't get those dragon punch blocks and bunny hopping isn't really a good strategy. Stuff like that goes a long way, and how fast the ball goes, so if people throw stupid long passes you can get in and steal them.

Still, only Live run as a 5 on 5 mode? that's pretty wack. I imagine Franchise is wack because Live always had a weak franchise mode. Still... I think you give them a 7 at least.

This game is going to be night and day in a few months after all the tweaks. I've been complaining about mid range game since release and they have fix the issue.

Wish a dev would pop on and communicate a little better. Wonder if any of the initial reviews will get a second look at some point.

Then again I don't think modes will drastically change.

It's 10x better. Cpu makes an effort to mix it up.

Barely contested shots still miss at a high clip. I use Westbrook as my tester for this. Not a lethal weapon in the mid range unless side open still.

Still needs a ton of work
