Last update ruined the game

I was absolutely shocked when I started playing after this new update. Seems like the speed of the game increased tremendously, and the game played like NBA 2k18. All the sliders had to be completely readjusted. It was like a completely new game. Nothing was tweaked, it was completely overhauled.

If I wanted NBA 2K 18 I would have bought that. That's exactly what I wanted to stay away from.

The NBA live demo was fantastic. I fell in love with it, although the full game didn't seem as good, it was still close. But this update completely ruined it.

I deleted the game and reinstalled it and now it plays in its original state. At least it's playable now even though I have to use the original rosters.

Agree 100%. Thank you I thought I was going crazy. Legit plays like 2k, complete with brick wall defense. Ugh

First game threw me off then I started to control the game better. Here are some positives:

1. Cannot just blindly reach or you will get burned.
2. More organic defensive rotation resulting in more open mid range jumpers
3. Players cutting to hoop when open
4. Seeing much better animations on offense around the basket
5. Ball moves faster making the offense flow better

Fast like 2k???? 5v5 with nba teams has been faster than 2k since this game released .

You can't go back or you go offline if you reinstall. Then you don't have any updates at all.

There hasn't been any update since 1.07 back on Nov 21 or 22...

Not sure what people are talking about...but I haven't gotten any update.

Still no damn H2H where you can play against friends...EA should get some kind of award for laziest dev's or something...rosters haven't been updated since day one...ratings anyway...definitely not a next gen title they way they've handled updates on the game.

I could care less about the damn clothes and crate garbage...make the damn game right. Update players ratings, and for f$# sake, video games are to be played multiplayer...why no H2H invites.

No wonder they got a commercial with James Harden playing Madden, because he probably wouldn't play live.

so I deleted all the patches and went back to playing the game in its original state. It plays like the demo. It was heaven until the playoffs and then suddenly the speed increased again and players started morphing like they were in the film "Jacobs ladder"

It seems like the developers made the playoffs more difficult, which I can understand but it creates glitches.

The other issue is the auto subs are not working correctly. Star players are on the bench for the fourth quarter. Someone posted a fix for this which I will try but the Jacobs ladder effect is really annoying. Not sure if I can deal with this.

How can you delete the patches? If I delete the game and redownload won’t it just auto install the patches...I guess just disable the auto update...but is there a way to revert without deleting the game and redownloading?

no you have to delete the game from your system and reinstall from scratch. Then don't go online after that.

it's like the Jacob's ladder effect has gone away for the most part. It comes and goes but the gameplay is worth it. For anyone who doesn't like the current version,I highly suggest you try it.
